It just be four of them, if you were going by MSRP.

I loved my 250...rode as a bike messenger in Los Angeles for a friends company. THAT will teach you some ridin' skills - or die! With the low power you can just max the throttle and worry about steering.............but I did get it to almost 100MPH downhill. It is one of my most suggested bike for new riders..........and they love it.

Funny, I was thinking about this the other day...........
One son has a Ninja 650R and the other one has a SV650S.
If you're talking cc's, the 14 has more then both of them.
If you're talking HP, the 14 has quite a bit more than both of them.
Fun factor? Well, we're all having fun!

picked up a yellow 06 250 just to have fun on. told my friends about the 1400 and showed up on the 250....you should have seen their faces when I pulled up. its a nice little bike and gets great gas mileage. blew some kids doors in with it while stopped for a school bus on the other side of the road ....was minding my own business when this kid pulls up to me and guns his motor....the bus lets us go by and the road ahead is clear. I took off at 9 grand and left that mustang dead in the road. had to uphold the name ninja.....big or small. its my doom day machine...it will get me out of town when all the gas stations dry up. it gets 75 mpg.

I'm w/you. I have the black '06 (W/flames, no less!) 250, as well as the 14. Always had big-bore bikes, litres, etc. Nobody understands the appeal of the 250. It's just a hoot. Any where. Any time. Don't have to worry about it. Relaxed. And dirt cheap.

Also have the '06 650R Ninja. The wife's main ride. It's a rip in the tight stuff! A great practical bike. They're all fun.

CMRA has a EX250 spec class (limited mods) that runs in F4 and Clubman races. It has really taken off this year and there are quite a few out there on the track.

My 250 was my first bike (still have it), and those things are fun as hell to ride. I whip it outta the garage every once in a while and pimpslap some twisties. You can ride that dam thing all day and not feel tired. 40k on it (bought it new in 2000) and still runs great. I'm glad I started with a 250 and not a 600, made me a much better rider. It's unfortunate that some moronic douchebags give 250 riders grief, they are such great bikes. My brother wants to learn how to ride and was going to buy a brand new one...but he can't find one, every dealership around sells them within a day or two. Maybe I'll let him learn on my Zx-14,.....cause he ain't getting my 250....lol.
