In the other thread "No flies on me!!!! Finally!!!!" you stated you were waiting for your Power Commander. Did you mean you were waiting to find out where to buy one at the cheapest price? The thread kinda implys you already bought one.

And at the end of that thread after you say you took out the flys you went on to say you were going to wait till your power commander arrived.

Are you just having fun with the rest of us that really own the 14.

Are you a POSER?????????

htosado, Give zx1kr a call. He has them and is good to deal with. He offered 10% off to members on here. He will also include the map for stock with no flies.... You can always change the maps as you upgrade your bike.

Tell me... what did you do with the tank as you were removing the flies?? Exactly what did you do... and how many bolts were there?? Also the side cover panels that run underneath the handlebars and alongside the tank... what holds these in place?? How are the side grill panels connected?? If you did remove the flies... these are very simple questions to answer.

Can't wait to hear the answer...

He's a poser. If he had a 14 with the flies out he'd be burning holes in his pistons and burning his valves.

Ok Ready?
AS for the tank, after removing all the plastics, I removed the top bolt on the tank nearest to the bars. Then I removed the two rear bolts and I left the THREE hoses attached when I proceeded
to fold a large beach towel and rest the tank on it with the hoses untouched. The two plates covering the flies with THREE screws EACH were then removed. I placed the worklights directly into the holes to see the 4 flies with TWO screws each. I used an extending magnet, and an 8" philip head screwdriver to remove the screws one at a time to keep track. Once the flies were removed, I replaced to covers, and laid the tank back into place. I then proceeded to put the plastic back on (which I already said I suck at). I did put 30 miles on the bike before I learned not to ride without the flies.

The fly screws are APPROX 1/4 inchin length.
The top panel under the bars (where the light adjustment screws are) there are 3 screws.
Grill panels only have two screws If I remenber, and the plastic shield over the front of the tank only has two. the very bottom of the side plastic has two (near the footpegs) and the piece that connects to the front cap of the bike has three, as does where the bottom piece connects with the middle.

I lifted the front of the tank straight up bending the hoses carefully. I used a rolled up beach towel to hole it without sratching it. why did you remove the whole tank? The three hoses bend, without making a mess.

Uhhhh Dorito...yer description of the parts comin off is all wrong...and it must have been very hard to do this with the tank still attached...btw, it has 2 hoses...one in and one out and one electric harness. GF grills...well they have 3 screws, not 2. Front tank plastic cover...well...it has none....I think you have a Kawabusa.

I was not staring at my bike during my final exam, sorry coach. It was easy getting the flies with the tank lifted on th the towel, The front of the tank stood straight up (almost) with the towel toward the bottom. I had straight access down to the flies.
