local shop party local bike fix it shop had a summer party ...girls ..beer and food. about 800 bikes showed up and I had the only zx 1400 there....where is everybody? most of them were sport bikes gsxrs and busa.the girls had a wet t shirt contest....saw everything but the t shirts. lots of nice bikes and mad max bikes. the zx 1400 got picked over pretty good by the suzuki guys.glad I got all the extras on it. brock meg... lowered streched... nos and power shifter on it with butt flies out. I could just hear my power commander yelling at me ......let me at them. but I took it easy as the local police were out in force keeping all the bad bikers in line. everybody asked me if its really faster than a busa...I just smiled. I hope the girl found their t shirts it was a little chilly on the ride home with a little nip in the air
You got to spread the word BEFORE the party brother, we like to look at those teets too.

the guy that runs the shop is in a little town call elibridge ny just west of syracuse ny.he works on just about anything and keeps the farmers bikes going.the guy sells 1970 and 1980 kawasaki and suzukis for 3 or 4 grand with hay sticking out of the gas tank and rotted tires . it kind of a mom and pop operation. I have a friend that takes his vtx there for tire changes and the like.usually no waiting and the coffee is hot. dont think I would bring the zx 1400 for service but its a nice ride and the locals are friendly, they throw a party every july and it keeps getting bigger every year....did I say the girls are hot or the coffee is hot

Syracuse, thats where my dad was born........ or Rochester....mmmm ok....ok, born in Rochester went to school in Syracuse. He moved here for a reason.

Still would have like to see those teets, maybe the ride would have been worth it, whats that like 3000 miles?

OH ya, dont go anywhere without it! Mine's still stock. Hard to mod on a teacher salary. lol

Sounds good I will plan the escape tomarrow. within the next 2 weeks. Hows the temp, just got back this weekend from a 900 mile 2 day adventure to Santa Cruz. It was so hot 112 some places, 119 others. We almost passed out on the ride. We went 450 up - slept - 450 back. In the hottest heat I ever rode in. I desperately need a throttle meister my wrist was toast.

It's actually off the Pahrump hiway going to Shoshone. 32 miles of no cops and high speed............It's still pretty hot here. We would have to start the ride at about 6 am to get back by 10 or so.................I can only ride on the weekends though........let me know..........

Ok I'll try to set it up with my son ( I ride with) who refuses to ride in the heat again after last weekend trip to San Jose/Santa Cruz, temps were 107 through 112. It was like riding through a blow torch, hours on end. If not in the next 2 weeks - soon. I need a vacation.

Just looked at the map, looks like the 178 on the california side has a 8 mile straight away that would be perfect if the popo doesn't invite itself to the party.
