zx14 damper Anyone know which one Coby converted to work on RG's 14 for Prostar racing? Better yet, when a cheaper alternative to the Muzzy one will be available?

Does anyone have a ZX-14 damper now? Everyone is making one but they are all on backorder.

Muzzy mount kit looks good, I just wish they would not use Hyper Pro dampers as they are complete crap........................kind of pricey for what it is as well.

Well, I have had 2 dampers from Hyper Pro and combined they lasted less than 1000 kilometers, obviously they must have their act together now or they would be out of business.
The two I had fail were not minor seepage, it was actually letting enough fluid out it was blowing back on the bike. I don't think a damper has much oil in it to start with. I was very concerned they would sieze up when they finally went dry. This could potentially lock up the steering at a bad time.................like anything over 2 miles an hour!
I went with a Cerani damper and it never gave me any problems in a couple of years on my ZRX. It worked fine in the Muzzy mounts. I still have a 'new in box' Hyper Pro damper that was sent to me after the first two failed. It is a newer generation of damper. I can make it leak oil just by rapidly pumping the damper rod back and forth a few times.
