I will swap you for my new Husky. It only has a glitch in the speedo readout. As in no readout.
Much better than no start. Right? Runs with/without battery.
Also still good transport after the wheels come off our. Converted to diesel of course.
And I will apologize to your relatives, our site, and Blitz too.

Bingo!! Happened on mine, thankfully when I pulled up to the house. I tightened it (ground side) and then put some Loctite on the bolt so it would not back out again. The cable was bent around in a funny angle, so I fixed that too. I guess that is what I get for taking delivery of a bike that came in serviced from a dealer transfer. Next time I will check a new bike out thoroughly for myself before I take a ride.
As for having the acid drain in the battery for an hour, all you have to do is take a small pair of dikes and nip the top of each of the six acid containers. That acid will be in the battery in a flash!! Slap that sucker in and ride.......I rode long enough to charge the battery the first time I hit the road for sure.

The Acid does not take an hour to run in the batter, but the proper way to insure battery life is to let it settle for an hour before putting it on the charger for 24 hours.

As a matter of fact.........the longer the acid sits in the battery before the trickle is applied the better. An hour is way more than most battery's get before the charger is slapped on em' but like Bently said............it will really help increase the life of the battery. The Yuasa rep told me the object is to let the chemical reaction finish COMPLETELY before the charge is applied. There is only so much reaction that will occur when you pour the acid in, but if you apply the charge before it is finished that is as strong as the battery will ever be. He said it's like disolving an Alkaseltzer in a glass of water.......if you take it out before it is done disolving then you are not getting the full strength of the tablet. That's what happens if you apply the charger too soon.
