Stopped by the Police
Well I knew it was going to happen, and yep today it did.
I was on my way home from work in Toronto.
Had to deal with the regular stop and go traffic till I was Northbound on the 400 (Major series highway here)
I hit the on ramp for the 407 (Toll Highway, a lot less traffic) and kicked her up.
Way ahead of me I could see another bike and I started reeling her in.
As I got closer I started wondering what kind of bike it was as it was doing 150-160 K making it's way through traffic, but it looked like a cruiser... then as I started to close I noted the Gold open face helmet, black uniform, and red lights on the rear... An O.P.P. (Ontario Provincial Police) Golden helmet (Their elite motorcycle guys on souped up Hogs.)
Well I decided to pace him at a respectful distance and we ran about 30 Kilometres slowing to the speed limit for traffic, then kicking it up to 150.
Eventually he got boxed by some grey hair who just wouldn't move so I slowly came up behind him.
She moved over, we again went up to about 120 when he started slowing down to 80 (Limit is 100) I changed lanes and passed at 105.
He came along side, looked over and held up hands with a 1, then a 4, I nodded yes and he gave me the thumbs up... He asked me how I liked it and I responed "Fucking amazing"
...
He couldn't hear me as I am wearing a full face helmet, so I pull in closer and try again... Oh what traffic must have thought when a ZX14 tht has been pacing a cop starts pulling in close beside at 120...
He still couldn't hear so he pointed towards the curb...
We pulled over and he spent 20 minutes talking to me about how this was the bike he wanted and was going to buy.
Eventually I told him I had to bail as I had to get the kids to swimming lessons, so he says lets see what she does.
I get on her and just let her go.....
About ten minutes later (I'm now crising at 160, I come up behind an un-marked radar car so I drop to his 120... a few minutes later th O.P.P. bike comes up along side and motions for me to go him. I nod, drop down to 3rd and snap it... I blow past the car at 185 and climbing... he must have crapped.... I see his lights come on and the Bike slows back down and motions for the car to disengage....
So I guess I did finally did get "PULLED OVER"

Fuck it man....they should've locked ya up and thrown away the damn key, yer a eer-reesponsible rider...riding at them there speeds...but if they ever do, you jist call me...I might post bail fer ya...LOL

If you show up at the Division, then I am totally fucked, guilty by association... Stay in Quebec... where you can do what ya want as long as you smoke and speak french lol

Some of the best rides I've ever been on are with cops. 
That get out of jail free card is a very good thing. LOL

Way cool story.
I had a buddy back in Illinois that was a cop. I had just bought my 90, ZX10 it too was the bike in its day, so we are having a beer in my garage and he says "what will she do'? I tell him I think 165 to 170 (sounds kind of slow now). So he says what to find out. Sure how?? I ask. I am on duty tomorrow just come over to Rt12 around midnight and we will see what the radar says!! So long story shortened up some he issues me a "warning ticket" for 164mph. I almost shit when he handed it to me I thought I been screwed big time :P

Great story:
Took my rear fender off day one. Have been stopped two times while awaiting my plates. Both times, wasted 20 minutes talking about the bike. Both cops were enthusiasts and wanted to see it up close. They did however ask for my temporary registration.
In botrh instances, at the time I was stopped (Highway 1 on California) I was in traffic going about 40mph.

Great story BTW.
I never had one ask about the performance, but he did see it first hand.
I gave it a 1, 2,3, blast off a set of lights, didn't see him pulling around a resturant on the adjacent service road. He did the silent john trick until he got close enough to read my plate, then pulled me over... he knew what he was doing and made sure not to spook me.
Gave me a warning and let me go.

yes mine was the RCMP LOL
I have partied with a few of them in the last town I lived, we had a blast.
Heh, I didn't know they were police till a week later, one pulled me over.
Good thing the real bad habits i had , were in the past!

Well, there's an issue.
Don't trust the Police? Man they may have some A holes on the job, but overall they are guys who bust their asses keeping you, me and our families safe.
Only they and the Military run towards what others run away from...
Now that I've vented...
Technically he had me before we even spoke, he had been running 140 - 150 and I had never been left behind, yea some grey areas if I had been charged, but I was still screwed.
The guy was very cool with me and talked about how he hated Hogs, but hey, he got paid to ride around looking good, but he was a Sport rider... I may have been taking a chance,but he seemed genuine, so yea I took a risk.
That said, had I been stopped after he had told me to Give er, I think (again) I would have had a pretty good defence, plus one hell of a public complaint... think it would have screwed him harder than me in the long run.
Anyhow, back to pondering life, and what my ride will be like when I get it back this week with the Brock, PCIIIs on and the Flies out.
