I know OZ makes excellent product but I thought they stopped doing m/c wheels???
Mebbe I misunderstood yer statement but when you refer to "done" - does that mean 200hp on stock bore or just the mods listed? Can ya share any dyno sheets with the results of the different mods (showing SAE or STD and smoothin with dyno conditions on the runs as well)?

if you need oz wheels ,I can put you on to a friend who works there or I have a mate in south africa at bst and they make just carbon but maybe not suited for america's roads.200bhp on stock bore,so far pipe and ems gets 176bhp igntion mapped gains only 1.8bho up top but loses mid range....our first attempt on cams gave us just over 186bhp and with a aribox mod was about 3bhp but need to run that one again as I think the dyno skipped(all without ram air but Im removing the motor tomorrow to put on a engine dyno for ease of changing cams easier and we can do ram air then as we do for matt's bike).
.So getting there slowly....Im going to take the bike to salt lakes in sept so everything should be released around that time....

Hey Doc, so you saying the cams give 10 hp? Are they similar to the stage one cams for the busa? I had those cams in my busa and the busa with pipe and PC and Cams I got 180 HP. With Brock's pipe and PC, I 'm getting 179.00 hp on the 14..........

DR Yosh - I can't imagine for a moment that Nabe would approve of some of these statements you're making. We've been friends since the 70's and shared the same floor space when I use to stay at Pop's house in Hollywood, so I think I know him better than most. Much of what you are posting reads like a sales pitch; which is great if you want to become a sponser of the site and pay like the rest of us do to take advantage of this worldwide 24/7 stage. Maybe the tone of some of your posts just rubbed people the wrong way a little. But that's easy enough to fix.
And please, you're not doing ZX14 riders a "favor" by posting anything. Nabe is in business to make Fujio, himself, you and the rest of Yoshimura R&D of America money. That's why we all are doing this. And that's is perfectly ok by any standard of the imagination. Just remember, you're statements are being taken to heart from a very powerful and well respected name in the industry. You're "name" projects a lot of "horsepower" and credibility so to speak. Overall, I think this readership would love to hear more from you. We absolutely would welcome you aboard and Yoshimura representation would be a great addition to the site. I'm sure Brant would want to get his finger in it as well. Good luck and hopefully you will continue to participate.

i dont understand on the cam replacement power. Brocks making more than that on pump gas at the rear wheel. Its good to see someone else making more options for the 14

Every dyno reads different!
That said............
Yosh header probably does not have large tube primaries.( top end power)
Yosh components have never been Drag race related... their intended for road circuit tracks generally.
Tuners looking for different power curves design their components differently.
Like I've been saying all along.
another point of compression, and cams with more lift and duration will push the stock bore and stroke over 200 RWHP. How much bottom end torque are you willing to forgive though?
The added compression will help bottom power lost when the duration moves the curve up in rpm. Will it replace it?.... not likely.
Then port the sucker and look for about 210 RWHP.
These are simply my guesstimate where future progress will lead, with stock bore and stroke, naturally aspirated.
I think it's great that a member of a major R&D team comes here and asks for input!
Nows the opportunity to ask...
How about a piggy back or rerplacement ECM which will allow tuning of the secondary throttle plates, 2 seperate selectable map configurations switchable on the fly, and map tuning for each gear, or at least 1 and 2nd gear, then 3,4,5,6 .
Ignition timing / mapping .
Just some idea's ... they may be way out in left field?
Do you have any new electronic componentry on the plate allowing us to retune (read remove the detune)?
Some will digress the bike is powerful enough....
well when i buy a new model bike .. I look for something that will smash and obliterate th previous king.. the corporations do not do business that way... little steps...
Example, Busa with slip ons and tre almost beat my sparkling new zx14 when it was stock...
NOT ACCEPTABLE IMO!
so yes ... MORE POWER CAPTAIN..... WE NEED MORE POWER! LOL
Thanks DR Yosh!
Welcome... we look forward to more progress

I guess maybe I'm different but I Don't see Where he posted any prices or links to order from here, or buy now. Don't think he is really advertising. Just trying to inform us of parts coming out, which is one of the reasons I visit sites like this. So me and vegas dude are talking about corbin seats and they are ready to ship, so do we have to pay as well.

Bently...that's advertising for free...the fact that there are no prices or order forms doesn't matter...he was promoting the Yosh product...and they know that simple little free plugs here WILL sell the product...

Wow, there's an apples-to-oranges comparison.
Did Joe-Bob Corbin (sorry, I don't know Mr. Corbin's real name) sign in here and tell us to buy his seats? No. Did Dr. Yosh sign in here and tell us to buy his products? Yes.
That's called advertising.

Only the sheep fall for that crap. I don't buy because of cute advertising statements or pretty pictures. Rob Muzzy, Brock, Dr. Yosh, whomever could type anything they wanted on this forum and the main contributing factor on whether I would buy from them or not would still be the opinion of the members of this forum. That is why I'm here. I get honest information from real people vs. dribble from an ad agency.

Look I really don't care if you buy yosh pipe or a muzzy pipe...fact is I just needed to know what people wanted so I in R&D don't make something that you turn your nose up at it ....I have both Muzzy pipes on 1993zxr7rr and 1996 zxr7rr (both rr) and I wouldn't put on anything else but muzzy for that bike...because this is not a sales pitch but I won't post any pictures but are happy to email them to people ....so you know our pipe was going to be a duplex system but duplex loses top so this is a big pipe system....but if you want just top end a sidewinder drag pipe is the only way to go and they look dam cool...
