i just became a member today. had been reading everyones posts for the past couple weeks. i thought fba's and htosado's debates and such were quite amusing. after reading this thread, i am kind of disgusted. what reasons do you guys have to talk to eachother like this. NONE!! you guys are some like kids. FBA - and your little posse - so what if he says that a Ducati will do 200 mph. Im sure some magazine has a write up that says it will, and he only stated that he read the information not that he witnessed or experienced the facts. You guys need to stop riding the head of htosado's dick, or asshole, whichever may apply. Dont take the wrong way. Not just FBA and his posse, but htosado as well. Grow up guys and lets talk motorcycles, dont discriminate just cause he reads different magazines. If you dont believe his info is correct, then state facts, dont jump in like "oh you monkey fucker cum guzzler". cause someone like me might perceive you as a lesser man. The funniest thing about this is that I bet I am the youngest person on this board. A mere 20 year old, who has just said you need to grow up, and had a reason for it.
i have said my peace, and hope that it will mean something to you guys. so lets get on with learning from eachother, and i mean about motorcycles. I CANT WAIT TO GET ANOTHER!! i feel like a jackass now after i got rid of my 11. bike was definately "dopenasty". 14 shall be the next. hopes and dreams drive us all.

I read it had 150 hp at 9750rpm, on the Ducati website. Look it up under Ducati.com-Superbike-Tech specs. I know they go 194 on some reads, and 205 on others, but the website for Ducati specs state 150 hp. The specs your showing I'm sure you pulled from somewhere respectable, I'm just telling you my source.

A lot of manufacturers put out horsepower at the crank, not rear wheel. I do know that Ducati dyno's all of their bikes prior to leaving the factory, but still, this could be at the crank. The 150 would still be a little low if that's the case...................The busa puts out 176 at the crank and average hp for the busa is around 155................I love the internet....................

Why would any manufacurer lower its output on its own official website? Evn Kawasaki boasts 113 ft lbs of torque on its site which is optomistic.
Now I am curious to know how much horsepower that Indian had when he went 201 mph on a v-twin with less than 1000 cc. If anyone can find out, please let me know. I'm going to call my friend who is in Utah to see if he can find out.

If someone offered me a choice between a 14 and a Xerox Ducati (for free) , I'd take the Ducati.
