I've seen the bags painted in color with black louvers and to me they look good. Not everyone just drags and does maxton, etc. I commute to work almost daily 35 miles and like to take my lunch and a few other things. Someone has to make slip-ons that stay at the stock height.

Not to mention the Full exhaust kits(4-2-1 or 4-1 types).
As It would be handy and It wouldn't scream sport bike or what not to the insurance types You'd think(Camouflage maybe, Not the paint, Just what the bike is seen as by some).

I'd probably buy 'em if they work with the exhaust system I end up choosing. I'm leaning toward the TiForce slip-ons maninly because of the look and I really don't often use the full power of the 14 as it is. I like the "Foreman Grill" look but then again I did buy a Testarossa back in 1991 . . .

They better have some serious heat shield to cope the the stock exhaust with cats. Those pipes get real hot right to the end, real fast.

It doesn't matter what you do to your bike, it is classified by insurance companies, due to model, and serial number....LOL

Ive been looking at brocks megaphone on my bike. Its smaller and sits a little lower than the stock exhaust. Also the megaphone doesnt get super hot like the cans. You can touch them and dont get a second degree burn. I like the bags. I would want to take them on and off. It would be a good idea to be able to carry somethings from time to time. Im sure they will cause a arm and a leg.

Bad move........ I would imagine 50% of the 14's sold will end up with aftermarket exhaust!

even if I did like them, my pipe would burn the shit out of em!
Agreed, the 14's standard exhaust with the catalytic converter runs way too hot for luggage to be mounted like this. Unless it's asbestos.
Might be ok for pizza delivery though.

That picture is *not* a beetle bag unless Corbin is dropping the whole beetle theme. Those just might look ok if they don't come back later and add all those stupid divots on the rear-side like every other beetle bag they've ever made.
*THIS* is a beetle bag:

That must be their idea of vortex generators, like those on a golf ball. I suspect they are totally useless given their location.

Now if they would shrink those down to something that gave you a cubic foot on each side and just slightly enlarged the tail to do it, I would consider something like that. However, these bags, etc all look like they came from the aliens on Starship Troopers.

E-mail to Corbin:
Looks pretty damn silly with a Muzzy exhaust on one side and a OEM canaster on the other.
Several bike forums thank you for the "entertainment" though. I guess Corbin's attention to detail just isn't what it used to be.
Corbin's Reply:
That's because we borrowed the bike from R&D who is in the process of tooling up bags for the bike.
They're designing the bags to work with stock and aftermarket so they needed both for reference.
Didn't see any point in making them put the stock pipe back on so we could shoot the bike and give it back to them a couple hours later. Likewise didn't want to wait for them to finish before shooting the seat.
Seemed pretty reasonable actually.
Thanks for the feedback.

Had the Corbin 2 piece and the Smuggler trunk on the ZZR1200, and was sure hoping that was the way they were headed for the 14. I would have bought, but this set up is no better than stock for me. The two piece could be had with just the front and the smuggler, and that is what I wanted, the smuggler was great to stick the esentials in, and would have helped the storage problem of the 14 a lot.....TB
