That removable backrest is too cool.
Exactly what I was hoping for, as I am always nervous my passengers will fall off !
It will be good fro holding a bag on the rear seat too!

From what i understand, the backrest only works with the grab rail installed.... yuck.

I just wish they would stop cupping the seat on the sides though.
The outer ridge cuts into your legs when they are on the ground, in traffic jams... thats what my past experience has been anyway.

So I need to buy a Kawasaki grab rail, the seat, and the backrest....
Jeez.... $700 total.

Don't know if I'm into that. Seems like gouging to me
Thats too much money.

I just ordered the corbin. The corbin on the ZX12 did not cut into the sides but the corbin for the BMW GS1200 does. I think that the taller the bike the more you notice it.

$1000.00 for a seat, back rest and trunk??

So far the stock seat seems fine to me.

I do 400+ miles in a day on the stocker, no problem...had Corbins, have one on the HOG, but any ones I've tried on my ricer's, I hated and ended up selling 'em. They are very expensive, unjustly so. IMO.

i agree FBA. actually the seats are comfotable on zx14 compare to other bike i had, no problem riding for couple of hours, busa seat used to be very uncomfortable. waste of money in my opinion.
whoops, i hope no one in corbin will read this!

I rode a 12 with a corbin seat and liked it. It really all depends on the person. Some like the Sargent, but I thought it was too soft. I just like the corbin. I liked the corbin on the Beemer as well. In Nevada we do long rides and 300 miles is about all I can take out of the stock seat. I will report back when I receive mine. It won't ship till a week from now. They have to make one................

I've had only one Corbin and that was a replacement for the torture seat that comes standard on the Boss Hoss. The Corbin seat was VERY firm but also quite comfy and their backrests are loved by both myself and my wife. They are expensive tho . . .

The stock seat cuts into my legs and cuts off circulation. After a couple hundred miles in the saddle my thighs are killing me. I'm buying the Corbin. Dubious, I read that ad again, and it says the backrest and trunk will work WITH the grabrail in place, not that you HAVE TO HAVE one, so you can strike the grabrail from the price as configured, you don't NEED it. I don't need a backrest, but damn that attachable trunk sure does look spiffy, but everything I'd carry in there goes in my TankLocker tankbag, so I don't actually need it, I just like the way it looks LOL!

The mismatched cans give a wider powerband without the risk of the bike being out of balance due to a single pipe. Plus if you get sick of the look of the muzzy pipe then just walk around it.........

Corbin must be trying to start a new trend in pipes on bikes

I guess those are the new Corbin pipes

Glad to finally hear someone say that in this thread! I've been keeping quiet on this one because I figured I must be the only person who thinks that *anything* made by Corbin that's not leather is ugly. Someone mentioned that they "couldn't wait" for Beetle Bags... I'm totally lost on that one... I would NEVER insult any motorcycle that I own by mounting a set of those disgusting beetle things.

Oh, I don't know why they bother showing that trunk mounted on a red bike... the color is nowhere near a match. Wonder why they didn't use a black bike so they could at least come close to matching colors.

The trunk is ugly as hell, but have you seen the pictures of the bettle bags they are coming out with. I think they look very good.

UUUUUUUUUUUGLY, and fit to conform with stock exhaust !
Bad move........ I would imagine 50% of the 14's sold will end up with aftermarket exhaust!

Maybe Corbin is making those bags so Kawasaki can introduce the ZX14 with hard bags to the Police Departments around the world to use as Highway Patrol motorcycles...
