What is this and where does it belong???

Stupidly, I wasn't paying attention when I was doing my back fender removal, and I forgot where this electronic piece (that mounts in foam) goes under the seat. Pics:

So I just relocated it here. Pic:

I assume it's no big deal??? Thanks for your responses....

Which is where it was before...notice that the ends are blocked...it's probably for use on the ZZR1400...likely something to do with the ABS unit. You're fine with it in the little foam pocket.

One of two prong self-diagnostic systems. The prong wires (6 as opposed to your 4) differ in the book. A 50/50 call on your 4 wire being the ABS, and the empty slot for the alternative shut-down system would be for the Immobilizer diagnostic connector (if you had the other wire harness?)

From what I read that is for the KDS Kawasaki Diagnostic System. Lets the Mechanics hook into the bike to diagnose problem. Also something to do with programming keys I think..

Hmmm....Wonder why some computer geek couldn't figure out a way for us to "jack" into that puppy and have a look around. Maybe make some changes to the opening rates of the secondaries perhaps??? What do you think?

Finding access to the computer is easy...a no brainer. Gaining access to the source code, understanding it and patching it however, is another matter. Don't bother getting excited...I'd be surprised if it really was for access to the ECU...not with pin covers and not with a 4-pin connector....
