No Muzzy map.

My Muzzy Pipe is scheduled to arrive here in Toronto on the 17th of July.
I ordered a true ZX14 PCIII (from another source as it was $40.00 less) and will have it in a few days.

Now, here is where I am pissed.... I just got off the phone with Muzzy's and was advised that they ONLY supply a map pre-loaded in a PCIII that they sell.
I asked why I as a Muzzy customer will not be given a Map for my pipe, and again was told only if I buy the PCIII from them, and it is pre-loaded.

Nice

Oh yea, and they only have a Fly's in Map as they consider the bike unrideable with a Pipe and the Flys out.

That's a load of crap. How much money did you spend on that exhaust system and they won't even cough up a map that works with it? Geez...

UNRIDEABLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What horseshit, Once again confirms my experiance with Muzzy. Removing the secondarys was the best mod I have ever made on any bike---I have owned 49 new bikes in my time.

Wierd,

I e-mailed Muzzy last week, told them that I recently purchased a full system from them for my zx-14 and a slip on for my z750s. I asked if they could e-mail me the map for the ZX-14 which they did almost immediately. No problems with them here, love the exhaust also. Send me a PM and I'll see if I can send it to you as an attachment which will have to be opened up in the powercommander software.

I also got a map from Muzzy. I will send it if you need it. How did you get Muzzy to commit to a date??? I have tried to but they just keep saying "2 more weeks"..

I spoke to Curt today on the phone, he was adamant that the ONLY way to get their map was if I purchased their PCIII as it was preloaded when shipped.
I explained that my Dealership had ordered me a Muzzy from Muzzy's distributor in Wisconsin and it was to arrive there on the 16th, in Toronto for the 18th (July)
He confirmed the shipment of these (Stainless/Ti) pipes and the dates.
I again stated "Are you telling me that as a Muzzy customer, i can't get your map without buying a PCIII from you?"
He again confirmed this

I am really close to gassing the Muzzy and getting a BROCK

I'm sure you can get a map from someone other than Muzzy. That is, of course, if you are set on saving $250 and not getting a proper custom map for your $12K+ (+$1K for pipe) motorcycle.

saving $250.00 ?????
I already ordered and paid for a PCIII from another source.
I am purchasing a Muzzy Pipe, and therefore they should support thier product.
I will most likely just get someone to suck thier Map out of their Muzzy supplied PCIII.... but this is not the customer support of the past

And map or no Map, once the pipe is on, I'm heading to Montreal to a Dyno shop for a tweak or whole new Map.... Flys, or no Flys... still not sure about that decision

A downloadable map is, at best, a starting point. You should be looking for a local wideband dynojet with experienced tuner instead.
