Front Sprocket Removal Did anyone else have a hard time getting the front sprocket loosened? What did you use? I found a 25mm socket fitted and used an L bar and a 3ft length of pipe as a lever.My daughter was employed to stand on the rear brake lever for the price of a movie ticket. Would like to hear of any other options in loosening this.

use a breaker bar. Take a pole wrap with a towel and put it in your wheel so it want turn. Then put some balls into it....

Got it unone finally.....tried a 2.5hp compressor, didn't budge.... Went to a truck place and used 180lbs of pressure!!! That did the mutha... Torque spec is 90ft lbs and there was no locking agent on it.

unfold the tabs on the lockwasher, 25mm socket, 2 ft jonnson bar... brake applied,
easy as cake..
Really, i could have loosened it with a 3/8 " ratchet!

PS.
I'd be carefull using a torch, could burn up the countershaft seal!
And to make it even better..........Oil on the rear tire would not be good!

Chez- any 2.5hp compressor will do the trick as that has nothing to do with it, that's plenty powerful, what you're lacking is air pressure. Get an adjustable pressure regulator on your air compressor and increase the pressure to the impact gun, it should bust it loose no problem.
