Muzzy Slipons
Anybody try the Muzzy Slipons for the ZX-14 yet? I saw a pair of the carbon fiber ones on a friends 14 last night and they looked and sounded awesome. Not too loud but throaty, definitely made my bike sound wimpy.
Probably no significant power gain though as when we both got on it we ran side by side. I'm thinking of going with the aluminum instead of C.F. as the price difference is substantial, something like $300. I'll paint them with a 900 degree satin black paint to match the rest of the bike. Them stock polished cans are ugly IMHO.
Also anybody know the weight savings with the slipons? Does anybody discount or buy straight from Muzzy?

There *was* a zx14.com deal where you could buy a t-shirt and get a $100 muzzys discount... you'll have to check with fish to see if that deal is still alive.

i have c.f. muzzy slip on on mine. when you get the carbon fiber it sounds a lot deeper, it has to do with carbon fiber material.
light weight probably both around 22 pounds. it is 2 piece, the can and the pipe. you probably save about 10 pounds.
i bought when i got the bike at the same time. it cost me around 700 dollars.
sound very good , deep.

This is a SWAG on my part.
I talked to Muzzys yesterday.
He said that the Muzzy cans weigh only about 4 pounds.
Brock says the whole stock exhaust system weighs 37 lbs.
I'm guessing the cans are about 15x2 = 30 lbs.
Even if the Muzzys weigh 5x2 = 10 lbs., 30 - 10 = 20 pounds saved.

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

i weighed the factory cans,(not the entire system) with the pipe which is one piece it is 16 pounds each. the muzzy slip on is two pieces which attach together and can be adjusted.
