Track days at Shannonville

Just got home from2 days of racing (600CC) at Shannonville Motorsports Racetrack in Ontario, Canada...had a great time, did some great laps...Here's some of the many pics...

...after I crashed in turn 7 At about 60 MPH

Picking up the bike and taking the 4*4 back to pit lane...

...our group (fastest times of the season of any group! -- I'm 4th over from back right)

My wife comin' in to turn 7...

Another one of my wife in turn 7...

...my wifes riding group (she's front left)

We had a blast; my crash left me completly unscathed...spent 2 grueling days on the track in 85+ weather...race school is called FAST and is one of the top schools around. These guys are great! The 6 guys in the back left of the picture are cops who flew in from Norway just to attend this school...they come in every year...

EDIT: One more thing...this is for Dorito Lay and Tony Turdlicker

Nice FBA.

Now, if only they had cooler leathers... Everybody in the pictures (yours and mine) look like the rejects from Power Ranger Idol!

FBA, now you're talking!
FAST is pretty hard to top for 'pay-to-play'
Their instructors are pretty low key but were all fast pros in the past.
What layout were you riding on?
What were the times?

I posted a 1.09 best run...and that was on the Neslon track...Phase 2. Best run in the group was 1.06...so I've got some work to do...LOL

Kevin Lcombe who was teaching there last year, isn't there anymore...he's now focusing on riding only...but we had some other pro's there...man these guys can ride...Michel Mercier, the owner, is one hell of a teacher...I learned about 2 years worth of race-ed in one day. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to hone their riding skills...well worth the money...he did gimme shit when I popped a wheelie coming down pit lane...LOL

I did the school in 2002 when I worked for a distributor of Teknic leathers, which was a school sponsor. The combination of soft suspension and the throttle stop made it hard to get much below a 1:02. Anyway, it's a school, more speed would just hamper your learning.

What you really need to do is bring your R1 or ZX-10 to Mosport between July 10 -12. There are a series of trackdays before the superbike races on the 15/16th. I'll be there clearing out my adrenal glands.

It would take me quite a while to get to a 1.02...but I'd have a blast trying!

FBA, you are truly a god. I'd love to be able to do that, but damned if both my arms are straight. so I can only go in a straight line. I'll stick too the drag racing, its much easier than that roundy round stuff.

I'm too fucking big for drag racing and Fish says I'm a fag anyway...do they have fags in drag racing? Maybe that's why they call it DRAG racing? LOL....all kidding aside...I would hit the strip, but would probably land on my ass popping the front end up...

Drag racing don't look that easy to me...

No, I think they have Gaydar at the gate, no fags. LOL....
I'm 205 with full leathers boots, and helmet. Just got the Joe Rocket GPX 2 piece suit, sumbitch is heavy, like 17 pounds.
You can't be much heavier. If you weight more, just use more nitrous
