I think the stock pipes look MUCH better...........too bad they weigh a ton.
I have a Vmax so I got a noise maker and just want to be able to ride 500 miles and still be able to hear and not get a ticket for noise. The power gains and weight reduction are just nowhere near worth it to me and I will stick with the big bling stockers and add that $ to my nitrous setup.

Ninja14 - I'd probably gut the cats on the stock muffs if you're gonna spray it.
BTW, Brock's Street Meg isn't too loud wearing ear plugs! Also, cruising 80+ it seems a lot quieter than slower speeds!

Yeah - that's not rude........funny as hell, but true.
I like the symmetry of 2 cans so I may go with an aftermarket set-up with one can and the other will house the bottle........both using the stock skin........sneaky........

Well some of us prefer ultimate performance over looks (within reason..I mean its not like im gonna put busa fairings on my 14...I do have my limits) and regardless of how the Brocks megaphone looks...it is the ultimate pipe for power..besides you can order with both tail pieces and switch from the megaphone..to the canister tail in about 5 minutes. But hey those who are to vain to deal with its looks..then you just sit there as those of us with that pipe...blow right past you. LOL You know...not to be rude or anything.

SMEG weighs #14? No SMEG weighs under 8lbs with baffle out. just a tick over 9lbs with the baffle in. I dont have the SMEG=(Street Megaphone) tail piece Yet but I have the full Gen 3 system with carbon can and it weighs right at 9lbs. Thats 29lbs less than my stock system weighs.

thats 2-5 extra over his standard gen 3 system...not over stock. And you can get the system with both tail sections so you can run the standard can on the street..and keep the meg tail section just for the track. By the way that 2-5 gain is in otherwise stock engine and mod configuration..except for a PC. So if you are gonna nitrous it then that 2-5 goes up even more. Definately will make more power than the stockers..especially after the exhaust temps from nitrous melt your cats in the stockers..into slag and plug up the exhaust. Oh and by the way...if your ever in the Sacramento, CA area....feel free to message me and will be more than happy to show you how I can blow by you. You can even pick which bike I use if you would like (thats provided that the motor is completed in my NMRA 60" bike that I run) or on my 14. Oh and I race without my wallet...no back pocket in my leathers, so that cant be it.

"The larger and more powerful your engine is.... the better this system functions! BUT...stock engines LOVE this system also, with power levels which rival even our Generation 3 system!"
Straight from Brocks add. It says it rivals the Gen.3. It doesn't say exceeds. It might take more than a PC to accomplish that. Nitrous would get you some hp but I don't know how much of it the pipe would be responsible for.

Brock has written that the Street Meg makes a couple more HP than the standard Gen 3 on a ZX-14. Pretty sure there's a reference to it in part 2 of his drag series. I think the quote navigator posted is "generic" to all the SM systems he offers rather than being specific to the ZX-14.

Ok, A little clarification PLEASE! What are you guys saying? Sound level tests done with no comparison to stock so we can tell the difference. Brock said the smeg was too loud for the track if the baffle was OUT, I didn't see any coment that he wrote that said it was TOO loud with it in. The important thing here is it makes HP. If it is true as stated by suicycle that you can switch out the meg with the Gen3 can then it looks like this is a sweet set up. If you get a ticket for being too loud switch out the can and go get the ticket written off then switch it back. As for the ground clearance as stated by iflyphi " no ground clearance if you only make left hand turns" this pipe looks like it has more clearnce than stock to me. Brock supports this forum and its riders better than any performance expert I have seen and THAT is why my system will be purchased from him!

The sidewinder megaphone exhaust is for drag racing and mounts below the bike, limiting clearance for right turns. The street meg exhaust is more of a mid mount and does not have a clearance problem. The street meg canister is interchangeable with the Gen 3 system if you get the kit. The street meg is damn loud without the baffle. It's still loud with the standard baffle and Brock recently stated that he has an even quieter baffle if you ask for it. Yes all of Brocks pipes make hp and yes he seems to be a great supporter of this forum and his customers.

I like the exhaust megaphone. Its not that loud unless you rev while sitting still. I havent taken out the baffle yet because i have no need. Ive already adapted to the sound. Ive one that heres it likes it. Excellent exhaust. The exhaust end of the megaphone doesnt even get really hot. I put my hands on it. The old canister would melt my shoes. First time ive seen a megaphone you could touch.

No, that's a "sidewinder". Megaphone mufflers may be attached to any style exhaust.

Emailed Brock last week about the loss of hp with the quieter baffle for the street meg. He's going to do some tests with the quiet baffle and report back.
I like the look of the street meg but for the sake of my neighbors I'll try to keep the noise to a minimum when I come in at 3am. Hopefully the HP will be close to the std baffle.

National Model Railroad Association (NMRA).......you race trains? :-)
I consider drag racing to barely be racing at all......if one masters the launch it is easy....
Now take the 14 into the canyons or a track and we can talk 'bout racing.
I will be running a lap around the Leguna-Seca track at MotoGP this year and can't wait.
Just fuggin' with ya - I am looking into that Ti/Ti Muzzy right now. It is some $, but I don't care.....at least it looks a lot better than that trumpet..........
