DynoJet Electric shifter

I read somewhere someone installed a DynoJet electric shifter that hooks into the PC3. I know you have to make a bracket to fit it to our shifters. I was wondering if anyone has any pics and advice on this mod...................Thanks.

It's a switch that splices into the shifter rod.

There is no shifter rod on the 14!

A small bracket could be fabbed to the rear motor mount above the swingarm pivot, or off the front side of the main frame spar.
Since it is a extruded cast, a small hole could be drilled and the top of the sensor mounted there.

I was looking at that, but have not decided If I will go air shifter or not.

You can get the quick shifter button instead of the quick shifter rod. They both cut fuel for a specified amount of time. I have it set for 55 or 60 ms on my ZX-10R. You preload your shifter just before you hit the button to shift. It shifts into the next gear without rolling off the throttle or pulling in the clutch.

I helped my Bud install a solonoid shifter on his Busa. It kills at the coils when you hit the button. It also hooks to the shifter directly. Nice system, doesnt need air and is very quick. I will see if I can find out what brand it is. Was simple install and set up, and has been working great for over a year. ...TB

How bout just a plain old airshifter??? Muzzy is making a Co2 shifter for the ZX14. It bolts on, no fabrication necessary. It has "Digi-kill" which interupts the fuel momentarily before the rod activates to shift the bike. You can fill the high pressure tank with nitrogen or C02 and get about 800 shifts.
Ok Rob Muzzy, how bout giving 20% off for the advert????

My RoadRacing buddies swear by the quick shifter...

You have to have a power commander to use the quick shifter, thats why I wont install it...No USB PC for me, never!!!

Not my bike. I just thought the picture would give guys an idea of how the shifter works on a bike without linkage. I plan on getting the DJ quickshift unit once my ZX14 PC3 comes in.

Does the shifter as shown above need to have the expansion module to work, or does it plug directly into the PC USB??

Hmm that probably means the quickshifter button plugs into the PC as well. Just preload the shifter and push the button. I see my next purchase happening soon...

Now why doesn't somebody figure out a way to harness the PCIII to work with a regular airshifter?? You could set it up kill the fuel momentarily to shift when you hit the button, or even set it to shift at a certain rpm automatically.
