Dyno Jet

I'm taking the 14 to DynoJet this Saturday at 7:30 a.m. before the heat sets in, and Dusty is going to dyno the bike for me. I will post the results...........

No, I do not. I'm waiting for Brock to give me the best way to do it. Brock is on the Dyno as we speak. Should hear something in a day or two.

VD (ha... now that's funnY!) ... would make sense for you to remove the secondaries and then get it mapped at DJ.. they should compensate for the lean spot as they will see it on their Dyno... call Brock to confirm, but seems to make sense to me...

Same hear! I got back to shop tonite at 8:30pm & was gonna get the bike & do it tonite but just too tired! I've got 1 HD to tune & a head gasket replacement on a 113" V-twin tommorrow. After that, I can put the rest of the work on the back burner for a few hours, I'll be rollin the 14 up on the lift & gettin busy.
I think the #'s are gonna be impressive. The 14 turns out over 168hp & 104 lb/ft bone stock w/852 miles on it. I've got 1250 miles on her & she will be uncorked big time w/ the StreetMeg & Flies removed. I'am very suprised that no one has tuned their bike w/o the flies yet!

I'm just waiting to find time to work on mine. Gonna see what I can get for power out of stock exhaust and a little ignition timing. 162.23 horsepower stock on the "stingy" Harley Shop dyno. Hopefully 165-67 with stock exhaust on the dyno...

Hey, take it easy on the HD Shops. Those numbers I got were on my "stingy Harley shop dyno" my dyno actually reads on the low side. But NOT cuz it's usta runnin HD's! LOL!
My HD shop made me a good portion of the loot I bought the 14 with. Just for the record I tune any & all makes. Stay tuned Big #'s Coming on 6/21 in the pm.

I have come up w/ a relatively simple solution for more closely replicating the road whilst on de dyno. It has shown good for several HP & allows constructing a more real world condition optimum power map. You'll have to what til it comes to complete fruition. Then I will make it available for all w/similar set-up. STAY TUNED!!!

No Doubt ! There are settings that change the parameters. When I trained on mine I was told the +/- was supposed to be 1%. Besides settings on dyno psi on r.wheel should be 40lb. amongst udder things

Harley Dyno Guy Is Your Friend! He Can Make You Big #'s

If you give me your elevation I can make you a map to try.

Ok, got alittle problem w/ the map thing for ya. I just installed the Streetmeg, PCIIIusb & pulled the flies. I didn't tune the stock set-up.If you go w/this set-up or somethin close like a different pipe(muzzys etc.) I will send you this map.It is a must w/no flies!
Check the thread I just posted when you get a chance.

I can tell you this. The change that these mods made were BIG. I was impressed.
Do you have a PCIIIusb? Planning on getting 1? Let me know, Dynojet will have a map for the stock set-up when the actual zx14 PC arrives.
If you need 1 I'll hook you up w/ good price when they come in. Any day now.

Good Deal. Did you have the PC in when you had on Dyno? If you get or got it tuned let me know what your final #'s turned out to be. Would be nice to see at least 170HP w/ tuned stock bike.

Nope it was bone A$$ED showroom stock. Going to put PC on and then dyno again, then pull secondaries and dyno again. That would be about 8 horsepower gain on the dyno here. Possible, as it sure runs real rich over 8000 revs all the way to redline....

His numbers should be better than 170 tuned stock. I got 173.8 at the wheel while stone stock. No tune whatsoever. See my thread DYNO. nice numbers with the meg though zx1kr. I have the standard street gen 3 cannister system I just put on mine. Should have dyno figures on that next week.
