FAILURE TO LAUNCH
IM A SEASONED RIDER, BUT A NOVICE DRAG RACER............ LETS SAY IM SITTIN AT A LIGHT , AND THIS BUSA PULLS UP NEXT TO ME (BOTH BIKES STOCK), AND I WANNA LAUNCH OFF THE LINE AND SMOKE HIM, WHATS THE BEST WAY TO GO ABOUT DOING THAT??? 1st??, 2nd,gear? please reply with some serious answers

First kill the caps ......And you are going to do this on the street???? Ok put it in first not second gear... about 2 grand as the light changes release the clutch and half way ( still slipping) and start twisting the throttle and slowly feed the clutch out ... Don't release the clutch till your at 4500 to 5000 or it will bog then it will hit the power band hard and wheely .. If you time the clutch and throttle just right it will not bog or wheely...It will just haul ass... Do us all a favor and take it to the track.....

Don't race on the street. Next thing you know, your bike is wrecked and your hurt and all for what? To beat another bike.................you need to have yourself and the bike home at the end of the day..........................

1st turn off your caps. 2nd most riders try too hard, seriously easy does it gets it done. 3rd practice, practice and more practice. Read .... Brocks 2nd post diary.

SORRY BOUT THE CAPS...........However, everybody relax, and chill with the insults. I've been riding for 10 years, and i'll never lose control on a straight drag. I know that there are alot of people on these forums that know motorcycles, and know how to drag. Some of you are experts. I guess all i was asking for was some inside info, if there were any. thank you for the feedback "smokin". dont worry, i wont leave 1st gear if i ever race on the street, just a quick blast and im happy. there are alot of cops in NY anyway. not worth losin license

1)You own the fastest stock production bike .........they know it!
2)You don't have to race... they don't know YOUR beatable!
3)its illegal, and when they take your license......... you won't get to enjoy the bike!
4) They don't know your a novice, but know the bike is fast. You have nothing to prove!
I've had several guys try to bait me, down town blocks from the cop shop! DUUUUUH

I rev it like I mean business, crawl off the line and cruise, while watching then them fuck off like retards!
The last guy who did this to himself, got nailed by th police 2 blocks away.
Good thing I didn't pull the trigger!

If a track is not near by, and you really want to, go to an empty highway
at least then pedestrians, dogs , little old ladies and any other moving objects are eliminated.
less chance of getting in trouble too!
Guys racing in town are dumb, and looking for trouble!
