Good vid F.A ,Put the fear into me ! a bit.
I dont think there should even be an option in reguards to wearing a helmet or not any where .
Id rather continue being able to wipe my own ass and not have to forget who and what i am everytime the old lady fire's up the microwave when its time to eat my dinner from a straw .

As much as i would like not to wear it i always do when on the 14. When Im on my cruiser I usually don't, doesn't make much sense I know.

I suppose it doesnt make much sense... pavement ground into your face at 75mph is the same whether you're on your 14 or a cruiser... isn't it?
Hate to have to point that out and make you think about it....
I know it's not as "cool" to wear a helmet, but you'd still have a nose and lips.

Witness the lobby power of HD owners. Most of them are lawyers and doctors; go figure.

Have you ever considered that it's Darwinisim in action? It's a control mechanisim to purge us of rednecks, shitkickers and the other dregs. Not smart enough to wear a helmet? Toe tag 'em and turn them into fertilizer; next cowboy up. ____________

Being one of the few states here in Ct. it is not required that you wear a helemet. Believe me when I say this very few riders wear them here. I guess the motorcycle mortality rate is of no concern to the state.

Always wear mine, If I did not wear mine i probably would not be here. I took a good size chunk out of a helmet 2 yrs ago when a car pulled out in front of me.

Always, and it isn't a law here. IL only requires eye protection...and they don't even require that on a bike that has a windscreen high enough to block your head. Idiots.

When I went to Clearwater, Fl. in Feb. 2006 I went for a short ride and wore my helmet...No helmet law in Florida, saw plenty of guys without...
Fuck that, riding around on the roads down there at 50mph, then watch the cars turn right in front of you!!!...I always wear my helmet, even when warming the bike up in the parking lot of the DragStrips...

Here in CT its optional. I wear a vanson 1 piece and helmet, gloves, boots etc. 99.9% of the time. But once in a very great while I dont wear a helmet and I dont care for the wind in my face and eyes watering or the fealing of vulnerability.
It is interesting that the safetycrats here in Ct make people wear a seatbelt but not a helmet.

I would not be responding to this poll if I was not wearing my helmet last Sunday.

4 mile drive to work = leather jacket, helmet, gloves.
ANY other time = full gear....jacket, pants, boots, gloves, helmet.
I get some odd looks and eye-rolls from other bikers.

Anyone who says 'ALWAYS' is lying.
Riding around the block, or up and down your street before, or after maintenance, still counts.

i know you all disagree with me but i ride mine sometimes withought helmet and i know accident can happen any place any time with any speed but with full gear and helmet i get very aggressive, i go faster, i take more risk, i take corners harder, i dont slow down in intersection etc... it just like i am bullet proof. the times i do not use helmet i am a lot more cautious.
hey i am just trying to be honest.
