Does it have a light?
Made my crude brackets- 2 flat piece brackets 1/2 x 4" long 3/16 plate for 96 cents, but alas... no light.

Does look like a nice part. I made mine outta aluminum angle and installed 3 white LED to light it. The middle LED occupies the rear-most hole vacated by the OEM undertail. Just drilled two more toward the sides. The lights were $10 at Auto Zone.

This is a very nice kit comes with all the hardware needed to install. Is a great piece to add to the ZX14 looks as though the factory made it. Fits like a glove. One of the best aftermarket pieces I have bolted on and not have to modify in anyway. Thanks Rob

I don't think he meant a fender eliminator was too expensive. Just that particular fender eliminator is too expensive when compared to the alternatives.

Looks great. Only problem is that in California, we MUSt have a license light. A lot of folks get tickets for license plate light. Awaiting one from Competition Werkes that includes an LEd light bar.

You can use the light screws. They look like two tiny screws holding
your plate on but they have tiny lenses that shine down only on your plate.

They are called laser bolts. You can buy them a few places online.

Exactly.
This one isn't as bad as some others VERY generic fender eliminators that charge $50+ because this one is designed specifically for the ZX-14. I can appreciate the cost involved with design and manufacture of an item like this, I just don't think it's necessary for our bikes. The undertail is SOOOO clean on the ZX-14, that even the simplist bracket will get the job done, and nobody will ever bend over to look at it - so "perfectly pretty" really isn't necessary.
I built mine out of a piece of 3" angle aluminum stock that I picked up from a friend who does fab work, spent about 30 minutes cutting and drilling it, and I was done. I'll take it off, round the corners, pretty it up a bit, and spray it black, and it'll look just as good as that $55 piece. And it cost me absolutely *nothing*.
To each his own I guess.
