I believe either exhaust would be good, however I think you find better support from Brock than Muzzy. With that said, my 12R is a billboard for Muzzy products, lol and I am gonna buy the Brock Hindle for my 14.

Yes im sure it will be. Its up to the person. Ive been impressed with the type of guy Brock is. Hes straight up with you. He ll be coming out with his second part of zx14 Diary next week. If you havent read the first part you should. You ll see what type of power his pipe make. I cant say the same for other companies. I want more performance. Im sure there going to be better looking exhaust even may sound better. It makes no difference to me if it doesnt make more power. Read some of the other post about Brocks service. Thats my opinion

Go with Brock, especially if you want support after the purchase!
The support is worth more than any .... and I mean ANY pipe!
Great quality stuff too!

Brock, Hindle, Muzzy, Akra, etc....

You will probably be very happy with any of them. Sport rider did an aftermarket exhaust test a while back. If I remember correctly, all the pipes tested (6 or 7) produced horsepower within 1-3 HP of each other.

I bought a Muzzy system. My choice was predicated on Rob Muzzy's long history of racing Kawasaki motorcycles. In the end, you won't win or lose races based on the pipe you choose

Agreed, most all pies are good theses days.
That said... Brock wants your bike to run its best!
Brock will burn new maps, and test every imaginable product for the bike and send you up with a map for your set up!
If you don't have a dyno handy, or $300 for a tire evrey time it goes on the dyno, and $200 /hr for dyno time, he will tune your bike as close as it can get without YOUR bike actually doing the dyno time!
Thats what I mean by service!

I agree that service is important. I just wouldn't put too much value in someone else's maps. Every bike is different. A person would be crazy to spend $12K on a bike, put in another $1300 for pipe and PC, and then get cheap over a $300-$400 map.

If no dyno is available, a WideBand Commander is only $400. I can see using someone else's map as a very short term solution. But in the long run, spend the money (which is a tiny amount in the grand scheme of things) and get a custom map...

the wide band commander is really crap...it senses 10 times a second.....do you know what happens in a second...i know you would.....you've got a quicker machine....people have tested it on 2-stroke rd350....they don't like it.....how will it suffice for us....

get a proper tuner stuff....i'll try to get you some links....there's a person here who's known all over the world for his rd stuff....he's got a unit made for himself....i'll ask him what components he used.....but his is a very good unit....give reading for nearly 100 times a second....

Pick either pipe Brock or Muzzy .... Ricky G is going stupid fast with Muzzy and Brock is going stupid fast with his bike.. either way it's a win win ... I went with Muzzy and i like the pipe, well built and looks great..... I'm sure Brocks pipe is just as nice and power between the two pipes and maps will be with in a few HP of each other.. Smokin....

Anybody ever had a Leo Vinci before? I know they're supposed to be really good stuff. They play up to the "streetability" idea. More power everywhere, including down low, instead of concentrating all/most gains up high in the revs. That, w/the butterfly deal, would make an even nicer difference, I would think, for those of us who just street ride.

Leo Vinci is as good as the rest. I wouldn't expect any significant differences in performance when comparing quality aftermarket exhaust systems.

I decided to wait to buy pipes, so in the meantime I made do. Had a set of polished D&Ds in the shop originally from a Busa. Band sawed the stock cans off the mid pipes, expanded the inlet on te D&Ds by 1/8 in and they went on like they belong. Man what a sound. I am likeing it so much, I just may keep them....TB

In this part of Cali, it is easier to find cabbage than an aftermarket pipe. Go figure, they outlaw aftermarket pipes but legalize [medical] weed...

The WideBand Commander is crap at 10 samples per second but another unit at 12 samples per second is good. Are the extra 2 samples per second worth another $200? What is the real world difference?
