Ordered the Muzzy aluminum fan today.

Think I will wire in a manual switch to overide the thermal switch when I get stuck in traffic, also might be good for track use if I ever decice to run it. It gets some hot down here in the land of Dixie and a little extra air might be just the thing.....TB

Does this fan actually flow more air than the stock unit... I was under the assumption that it only prevents melting??
Would be nice to have two fans vs. the one!

Why Muzzy, does the factory fan melt? I would find that tough to believe...

when I had the 12r I remember reading the pipes came so close to the fan they would distort the fan..

Same here. I believe the Muzzy fan actually moves more air too.

Master, I have the fan right here in my hand. It looks kinda small, but when you look at the stock plastic one, it's small too. I will be installing it week after next when I break. I'll let you know how it handles the Louisiana heat. BTW, did you put any kinda magic stuff in your radiator??
I don't think a fan switch will help much, since it comes on anyways when your stopped. Personally, I'd rather have it run cool without having the fan come on so much. As soon as the fan comes on, the heat just bakes my legs.

I picked up a jug of Water Wetter at Advance Auto, but havent put it in yet. It worked great on my supercharged Valkyrie so I believe it will work great. I will not be adding to the antifreeze, but will drain, flush, and refill with the Wetter and distilled water. The Wetter has everything to keep the cooling system in great shape, and dont think we have to worry about freezing down here for a while.......TB
