Place in Houston that tunes PC3's?

After reading about this lean issue with the secondary throttle plates removed I ordered a Power Comander. Nobody has a map for them removed yet, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a good place in Houston to do the tuning?

No, should have it mid next week. Just unsure on which pipe to get. I want to do it all at the same time, I may be ordering the brock pipe today... Just wish he had a map for the butterflys removed so I wouldn't have to worry about spending the money on having it tuned right away.

I may just order the PC3 for now... Just hate the fact that I will have to tune it two times.

Get the Muzzy pipe now, it's cheap. Then when the Ti akro's come out, sell the muzzy, that's what I'm going to do. Head up guys!!! I'll be selling my Muzzy probably in about 3 months, so if you wait, you could get a good deal on it. Plus, I'll throw in all the cool custom PC maps that I'm gonna get done in a few weeks.

For best performance, you should get a map custom made for your bike. If you are willing to spend $12K for a bike and $1K for a pipe, you should be willing to spend the $300 for a custom map...

I would get the brock megaphone. Brock makes the most power from what ive seen. He also shows his findings. Im going to what the 2 weeks for him to finish his findings. Then ill have a better idea on which way to go. Maybe we can work something out. Guys put in to pay for the custom mapping. It would be easy for us to met at his shop. Its 4 of us so for in this area. I'll call mr turbo and find out how much it cost.

That sounds great serius blk, I just checked and my PC3 should be here early next week. I don't mind spending the $$ for a custom map, just don't want to do it two times... And if I'm dropping close to $1500 on an exhaust/pc3 I would like a little time to recover.

iflyphi, when do you plan on getting the map for the butterflies removed?

alright. I talked to the lady at mr turbo. She said it would be around 150 and they do all their dyno work on mondays. We would need to make a appointment. 150 isnt a bad price at all. Let me know what you think. That wouldnt be much split between a few guys.

Since I'm one of the four in the area I assume you are including me in this little venture. Now don't get me wrong cuz I got nothing against helping a brother cyclist out, but unless we all run the same mods how is getting a custom map made gonna help all of us?

After 2 years of D&D's on my ZZR I kinda like being in stealth mode but will definitely have to change the pipes to get rid of the catalysts. I am seriously considering getting a set of slipons from AreaP in stainless, with 2.00" bores to keep it quiet. I will probably remove the secondary flies to improve roll on power. I will have to get the PC to straighten out the fuel mapping after removing the flies. And that is probably all I'll do beside ride the hell out of it every chance I get.

So if you convince me that one custom map will help all of us, I'm in. Otherwise, I will have my bike dynoed and mapped and will share with others of like mind on modifications.

I would still like to meet up with all of you and ride or hang out and swap lies.

I don't mind paying that amount on my own. I need to have it done anyway, but I was prob. going to do it with a full system. That wouldn't help most peoplem, but I'd be more than willing to share it. Now if you want to buy me a beer or something, that would be nice

You said you ordered a PCIII? Is that a ZX10 PC or a ZX14 PC? I have checked with Parts Unlimited & apparently they are saying that the ZX14 PC will be available on 6/23. That's not written in stone though!

I am also in the Houston Area. I would like to hook up with the group who rides the beast here. I also would like to see what the mods do to the bike to help decide which ones will be needed.

Any body interested in setting up a ride?

I'm not going to put the secondary plates back in, and will refrain from riding as much as I can untill I get it tuned. I should be getting my PC3 on Wed, and if I can make up my mind I will order my exhaust on monday. I would be up for a ride any time after I get it tuned.

I saw a red ZX14 around 645-700 yesterday afternoon on B-8 and Briarforest, was that any of you guys?
