Yep typical keyboard warriors that sit at home on their computers and try to act like know-all badasses. Allmost every board i have seen has been like this, why is that?

unless things are different in teh US or with teh 14, you can't get a key from the VIN. my dealer tells me the ONYL way to do that is using the key code that you get when you buy the bike (on the little aluminium tag)

And because any 'ol person could walk up to any 'ol bike parked on the street, write down the VIN & license tag number, have a key made, look up that person's home address with the license tag number, and go steal the bike.
Come on guys... get real. It takes more than a VIN to get a key made.

I had number 98 busa off the line this year... And the damn porter dropped it in the parking lot taking it to my trailer...
I had to get them to prep me the other bike they had. And it was nowhere near as low.

So why didn't you just have them swap the bodywork? Or did the frame get dinged?

Your bike key will also work on other 14's, send me $5000 for each and I'll tell you where in the world you might find the other bikes.

At General Motors we can make keys from vin numbers since 1990. This is not to say we give them to any yahoo off the street. By law we must verify ownership, i.e. a license matching the name on the title or registration. No documentation, no key. They get pissed when the info is locked in the car, but that's what locksmiths are for.
