Surprise anyone lately?
Two surprises:
Guy on a R1 pulls up beside me at lights, asks "how like the bike... pretty torquey eh?"
Like it, yes torquey!
Pulls away from the lights hard, when I realize he wants to play, I'm already 40 feet behind him, i hammer it , grab 2nd , then 3rd, no tire lift just squat and explode past him!... like he has an anchor tied to him!
(tire was spinning in 1st)
By the time I went by he was going for 3rd and I was already about to go for 4th.
The wide ratio trans is a godsend!
Drop back to cruise, and he pulls up beside me... "holy mother of Fuck... that thing is a rocket..."..... umm ya.
He didn't realize, I have dropped 1 tooth on the frt sproket, and lowered the bike....
I'm still running the stock pipes.
The launch is like a totally different bike when slammed!

Harley neighbor comes over to check out the bike askin all kinds of q's, and says
" sweet ride too bad it doesn't say harley on the side!"
next day i ride by and he has thums up!
next day i ride by again and again thunbs up, waves me down.
asks more q's, and says that thing sounds like it just wants to run.." like a thouroghbred"
Brings his wife over to check it out.. and everytime he comes over now he wants to take another look.
We haven't been able to get together for a ride yet.... can't wait to see wait to see what he thinks then!
if my new rear tire arrives this week....
were going to a discrete location on the weekend, after the pipe is on and i'm gonna finish off the old rear tire!
I will get him to video me and take some pics!
Wait till he gets a hold of the sound of 190 RWHP through an open megaphone!
3rd gear burnouts and a couple of dognuts too please! LOL
I told him when I bought the bike i was considering a V-rod.
After a ride I think he''l understand my purchase decision

Ya? Wait till you remove the flies dude...you will freeek! No more downshifting to hit 'em! The bike lifts now at under 4K like a scooter (if you want it too)
I blasted a couple a 600-750 gixxers last week in the corners...these wheelie nazi's had "cornerbrakelight-itus" disease and almost died when I blew by them on the 14 draggin a knee around the corner...  's that they were! 
14 with a decent rider will eat wheelie nazi's for breakfast -- in the corners or on the straights...it's a Busa that handles and brakes...

Already done...insane power now at 3k up...but I put it away till we get Dyno results so I can avoid burning a hole in the pistons...in case it is running too lean. I'l ride the 10 till then...the whole thing takes about an hour from start to finish...
Oh and to answer your question ya it works...better than you would imagine...

HOLY FUCK FBA! I didn't figure you for the type to yank the throttle plates but since you are making the smart precaution of using the dyno before riding much, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. I can't wait to hear about the results!

what kind of sprokect did you buy .... the vortec 16 is it the same the busa sprocket ...vortec makes ....i just dont want to buy the wrong sprocket for my 14 thanks ?

Stalwart, the riding results are fucking spectacular...it's power that starts from idle and never quits...as far as leaving it in the garage, yup, safest bet till we know more...I just had to see if that was the fix...and now I know it is! It pulls like stink from very low...but that 6K pull now happens at 3...to a lesser degree obviously, but IMO, it's got to be about 80+ RWTQ at 3.5K instead of the 55 we see stock, and that my friend, makes a serious tire shredder out of the 14...even at 3K RPM. You can break it loose at 4k in 1st in a heartbeat, that's how much power we are talking about...is it worth the mod? IMO yes and then some. I have the ole Busa now but one that can handle and brake too, not to mention looks! What a bonus!

You didn't cause enough to make it lean. Subs are open anyway. Besides, you have an air sensor plumbed to the DFI. The air change in the venturi will be compensated. Remember, you're not lean when both plates are WOT.

Yes we wear helmets, speed limit was 60KMH ( yes i was doing waaaay more than that!)
Sheilds up slowing for traffic ahead... 50-60kmh ....and yelling at me, like a crazy fucker!
Its not the first time someone was more excited about my bike than me!
And I'm crazzzeeeee about it!

...but the mapping changes for WOT...gets rich higher up...by design...funny thing is...gas mileage is better, noticably too...

Well it sound like PC3 ,pipe and butterfly mod it is. I will make a call to see if any really bad things can come of this. (good friend at KMC)

Do tell when you know, in lieu of a solid Dyno test, your info will prove quite valuable. There seems to be 2 schools of thought regarding F/A mixture and leaning at low RPM and it would be nice to know, The removal of the flies, is the cheapest and most effective mod yet...no pipe or PC3 map will even come halfway close to doing what that did. Now that huge dip at 3-4K is completely reversed and probably peaks instead of dips...it feels that way. I can remember my Busa distinctly and this bike outpulls it now from down low. Now the Busa boards will be humming with this...bet on it, though they still won't admit it.

Back to the thread................
Some young guy in his SRT Neon - Stage 3 sticker on the back. He actually got the holeshot as I was not planning to race. Lights lead out to the highway, so I quickly reeled him in without really trying at all.
I just paced him for a few seconds, as soon as he was WOT in third, I opened the bike up hard in second.........it was like a giant vacuum cleaner sucked his car backwards.
I then backed off and he went flying buy. I thought what the hell, no traffic on the road, good visibity all around, red line third, shifted into 4th, went by him at about 250 kilometers/hour like he was parked.
I get a laugh out of all the postings and video clips about guys in their 'hot' SRT Neons.......they may be made to be reasonable quick by front driver standards, but they are still POS Neons!

That is funny, I had a guy and his girl friend in a Neon try to beat me at a light yesterday. I was pulling out from the light slow and he looked over real quick and took off. I was in 1ST and gave the throtle a full twist and was passed him in about 2 seconds.I didn't even need to shift. He didn't push the issue and let off.
I did race around a 70' pontiac lemans (I think) I smelled the race fuel burning as I pulled up behind him. It sounded like a Big block to me and ended up running like one. He pulled out wide to leave me room on the inside , as if to say "come on". I let him nail it first. I passed him easy and let off around 120 mph. I was checking my mirrors to see where he was and he flew past me doing 130 I'm guessing. The car was fast ! Maybe a 12 second car, but was no match for the ZX!
I also have raced a friends CBR600 (w/pipe) from a stop. I don't have much expierance launching from a stop,so he pulled a couple bike lengths till about 3rd ( I was not red lining it either -break in period ) then I passed him doing around 15mph faster as I passed and pulling hard. It is a Rocket! I'm sure if I raced him again it would not be as close. My launch RPM's if I were to guess were 2000-3000. Need some practice.
It is nice to hear other guys stories too!

Just remember to be real careful around cagers who want to play.... especially if you don't know them...
Years ago a guy in a vette forced me into the ditch... to make along story short,...luckily it was a smooth ditch, #2 highway south of Red Deer... zrexer knows the road i'm talking about.
I braked hard but he kept squeezing me off the road, I managed to keep it up on two wheels, in the ditch.
I got back on the road and chased him down stayed back about a half km till we got in to Calgary.
I beat the living piss out of the motherfucker, at a gas station on 16 th avenue.
Broken jaw , nose and some ribs too ... that much i know for sure.
Fuck, I didn't even kick him, just punches!
Left him laying on the pavement as bystander called the police.
The fucker tried to kill me!
He might think twice about runnin down any of the bro's again.
Good thing I've grown up a bit since then!

He would probably be putting out 300 + horses at the crank with the Stage 3 as I think it includes a bigger turbo & injectors and more boost........................but he was still way out of his league!
