I just spoke with a tuner on the North side of Houston who says he has removed secondary flys for a couple of ZX-14 owners and is doing another one this afternoon. He also said he has a couple maps ready to install. He has high praise for this mod.

So who in Houston has had this done? Speak up.

Where are you all going that fast - heck in Virginia you'll get thrown in the slammer for going that fast - I have to keep my speed down - heck I get in trouble for going that fast flying in this area!

Ditto zxbob.
You didn't change the map... or didn't have to?

I just did some playing with the map. I increased the fuel in the 20% to 40%
throttle range - 2750 rpm to 5000 rpm.
I then did a map compair. For those of you running a Schnitz map you can
see that this will take out some of the dips in Ryans map.

My bike hits like a hammer ........ still no dyno results yet, but forthcoming.
But again, this bike is flying. I still highly reccomend this mod for seasoned
riders !

ALWAYS HEAT THE SCREWS UP WITH A SOILDERING PENCIL BEFORE TRYING TO REMOVE THEM , it loosens the loctite on them and removal is easy.

It's sort of a waste because you still have the Mikuni gear box, and the "SUBTHROTTLE'S" TPS still attached to the sub's bar. The subthrottle's electronics still commands the "MAIN" via ECU/sensors/temp/etc.... Who said Redundant?

Play with the air screws... what do you have to lose?

LOL

Or purchase a J.I.S. screw driver. Google J.I.S. screws. But a like new Snap on Phillips will do it, but.......... Wheelie posted this last year.

Reading this post now feels like watching cavemen discover the wheel.

All the guys, FBA, smokin, Fish etc talking about the flies for the first time.

Now it's the first mod anyone does.

It's like opening a time capsule from 2006.

any regrets on removing the secondaries.......yeah right

I agree, on a 2006/2007 with a PCIII and map..... Great Mod. I was just letting the new members know Jap bikes have J.I.S. screws. Not Phillips.

Here is the original trick and guys were trying to move to some 5th gear deal and without those 3 basic variables banging on page 4-47 of the 1999-2000 Ha Ya Boosay how much wording do you need to comprehend the wheel?

I'm not sharp in the math dept., but the concept...Well, since 1999 or 2000, I'm not soldering a drop behind a clutch for how many years you were turning that wheel or outer clutch basket is dis basket case says other wise. Ass the wheel turns, eye van be drive inn... ____________ Fill in the blanket is poo sea and wheels is nice if you can...

Wheelllllll, WATT say ye now, bluff full low job????

Pull up the lean out thread and PC needed > You'll seize the bike [without] is another wheel turns direction. Yeah? No!

I meant the tre thing that ties in with the flies. Busa had the same flies, only in the air cleaner system.
