People I want to kill

So I finally get my bike last week, and it rains, rains, rains....
I get to take it for one decent ride Friday before more f**king RAIN.
Yesterday I do the full "new bike thing" I Wash, Wax, adjust things, and do first Synth Oil change as machine has whole 350 Kms on it....
So this morning I roll it out of Garage, walk it past vehicles in my driveway and park it by sidewalk (not on sidewalk, near sidewalk).
I walk back up driveway to close garage and grab lid....
I hear yelling, a loud bang and people running.....
I come back out front and there laying on it's side like a dying whale (sorry Hyabusa guys) is my NEW bike.
I look down the road and see the ass end of a group of kids rounding the corner....
Now I have to debate, do I try running after them in full leathers, and helmet on, or do I pick up my baby...
I chose the latter...
F**K!!!!!
Whole left side scratched, gouged....
If it took this damn long to get the bike, how long to get new parts?

Think I'll go hunting later.... there are some "things" I want to kill!!!!!

That SUCKS man!!!

Holy crap, I don't know if I'd be able to contain myself in a situation like that. Too bad one of those kids didn't get their foot caught under the bike when it fell so you could turn him in as "evidence"

But then his parents would probably sue you for the injury...

Good luck rounding up parts. Seems like others needing body panels haven't had to difficult of a time getting them.

I have an alarm system that warns on moving & bumbs
Spyball is the name of the game (Cobra for cages)

My neighbour just bought me a new part
He accidentally hit the bike and armed the alarm system
First he claimed there was no marks
but so said the young shop boy
I total black it's hard to see dents & scratches
I got the 31 bucks yeasterday
That was price of plastic Givi hard bag "protector"
My sidebags have these cumbersome storage-plates
for stacking up the hard bags and for protection of the bags
The top bag has storage iron for the ortlieb water-proof 60L bag

Dumb question---but how did they turn it over on the kickstand side?? Seems it would have been eaiser to to push it over on the right. Maybe it rolled forward on the kickstand. At any rate, I hate to hear it went down----the wait has been very hard on the tempers by itself. Dont' think I could do that again.

It was Kickstand side, I think they must have either tried to sit on it or did something that made it roll forward on the sidestand...
Just got quotes on parts.
Ignoring the slight nicks to main fairing, clutch lever and muffler it's going to cost me 1093.00
But all Cowling pieces back ordered till end of june, which in Kawi speak means I should see them around the end of the summer.

That would ruin anyones day. Sorry. Hope you find the kids.

ALERT
The kids maybe just rolled it off the kikstand? Mine doesn't take but a little push/bump. Maybe even accidental.
I almost rolled mine, and very easily, off the kikstand with 200 miles on the clock. Scare.

I always!!! put it gear, and roll her forward until she stops before I drop the stand. That way, it's impossible for her to roll off the stand.

dude, don't be shy to make some inqueries about it. if it was several children, you can bet at least one of em will squeek. then those responsible should be made to pay for it. don't let kids learn they can get away with shit, and don't say "no, it's ok, i'll pay it, they're just kids". if they dont learn respect & responsibility now, they won't learn it later.

Just get the Acropovic etc quality Titanium 4-2-1 system, not the original !!
PC3 + TRE and the secondary valve removal trick should get you going...

Yes - one should always teach responsability

Too many options to examine in regards to 4 into 1.
I have had Yosh and most recently on last three Kawi's MUZZY.
But from all that I see here, everyone seems to like the Brock (aka Hindle)
I will NOT be puting the stock anchors back on, but need to figure out what combo I will use.
Want to see if an actual 14 PC comes out and what maps are supplied for what pipes.
Thought I read a thread that the TRE was a waste of money?

I thought that it does not make a real solution
but since it cuts the difference between Busa & ZX-14 in half
I would call it half the solution
Using BOTH the 2nd valve removal & TRE hsould give you more??
???

Yes Yes Yes... put me first on your list!! Are they gonna look nice/clean? I don't want anything flashy or chromed, just powdercoated black w/black resin slides or something like that. Are you making a upper and lower set? I already have a set of slider-spools on the rear...

scificanada, call 801-756-3613, this is the dealer I bought my bike from-1 week later it fell over. $950 in parts, had them in 2-3 days. this was just a week and a half ago. Ask for dave he was my salesman. Maybe you can buy parts through him and pay him to ship them to you priority. Just a thought. Good luck and nature will have a much more ravenouse way of dealing with those kids.
