Speedo Healer corrects up to 99%.
Yellow Box only corrects 30-40%.
Speedo Healer has a remote button that recalls/stores top speed.
Speedo Healer is 5 minute plug and go/ no splicing.
Speedo Healer is very small. Memory[ old and faulty ] says slightly smaller than my yellow box.
Has anyone tried the 186 limiter yet? Yellow Box claims it bypasses it.

I know, but I HAVE one and it's a lot easier. No math involved. I simply want to know what others are using as a correction factor with a 16T front sprocket.

Has anyone confirmed whether or not either system bypasses the top speed limit on a Dyno or some clandestine Top speed test site!!!!
If not I will have done this in the next couple of 24's.
Hoping that someone will save me the disappointment.

The only thing that did the bypass on the busa was the TRE. I had a yellow box on it and it did not by pass the limiter. I had the speedohealer on my 10 and the top speed I could get was 186...........it dosen't do it either.........

i have the SH on my 10 & 636 . I progammed it to correct for -1 on frt sprocket, it would bump the rev limiter at about 170-172 actual. which is what should happen. the 10's stock gearing is what keeps it from going past 186. the speedo on 10 actually reads to 189

Installed on the 14. Set at 10% correction. Didn't have time to throw on Dyno had to beat the rain. On the way home went past the School radar & speedo is dead on @ 40 mph. Will Get on Dyno tommorrow & see how accurate at the higher speeds. Got a 99 in a 55 Ticket today.FUCK!

Ouch. That is a tough ticket to handle where I live. Our local judiciaries.....and getting worse.
Even with a lawyer that would be a nuisance here.
What about NY?
I am headed your way this weekend.

Pretty funny Vegas!
It was issued pre-Speedohealer I thought I was gonna get wrote for 120mph. I got it in a little town that I have received tickets in before. They will let you plea down substantially but you have to pay a steep fine. Although, I didn't have a 44mph over the limit last time.

Quick would be an understatement! But dont forget I had no wind resistance so it made it much easier. Point is though the 14 is derestricted w/ SH & @ 11k you hit the soft limiter @ 11.5K you're done.
I think it had a few more mph to go but dyno shuts down the run @ 200mph!!!!

Correct. Just pulled out the loom and had a proper look. Kawasaki harness on the way.
Thanks.
The Kawasaki harness arrived over the weekend and I just spent an hour in the garage fitting it. I had to remove some of the body panels and lift the tank to thread the cable through the bike to position the Speedo Healer under the dual seat.
It all seems to work just fine, based on a brief ride up and down the road. I'm going to leave it set to 0% for road riding, as my gearing is standard 17/41 and just wind it down 10% for top speed runs.

It's very strange that you are all setting at 10% when the actual variance is only 7%...this according to numerous GPS's I have tried on the bike.

FBA, you have a very good point. I think individual bikes are going to require differant values. I checked, re-checked and checked again and my value turned out to be only 5%. This is with two differant GPS systems.

I checked the speed on mine, correct @ 10% confirmed on dyno accurate to 160+.
It sounds like there is quite a spread in correction %'s best bet is find a radar, check your local school (after hours) & if you set it @ 10% ,do 40mph if it registers 40mph your good. if not , break out the pencil & paper figure your % of correction that you're off & set accordly.
Obviously, it would be alot easier if you has access to GPS or a dyno.

It would depend on what speed your correcting for...
Speedo error may not be linear!
Do you want accuracy at 200 mph or 55 mph?
Just a thought! I could be wrong.

The whole point of my installation is not to have a correct speedo but to fool the ecu into reading my speed lower than it actually is. Hopefully this will give me an adjustable amount of headroom before it "thinks" I am at 186 and restricts the speed. 10% was just a starting point. I might run it up on the dyno just to get accurate figures. Not for road riding, just competition.
