186 and more to come
I rode yesterday and came upon a stretch of rode. I got on it going threw all the gears and shifting at 11k. The bike went threw the gears so quick that I thought I had another gear to go. I say this because I didnt feel it pulling anymore and didnt want to over rev it. I quickly looked down to see the gauges. Needle stuck on bottom and it looked like the rpm was around 7-8k. Wow ! With out the governor, this bike has a ways to go till it redlines. I read a few articles that said 195 with out the governor. Im not talking about that BS pull the wire line. I dont think no one has truely run the bike to redline with the stock gearing. Does anyone know what mph it could be running at 11k.

The best way is to just go buy a cheapo GPS unit and run it again.
No BS about checking the speedo, etc.

You sure you got that right? I had my 14 up around 7.5 to 8 K rpms in 6th gear. I was registering 155-160 mph.

No not totally sure. I do know it wasnt close to 11k and in 5th gear it reads 180 at 11k. Maybe one of you guys can try it and get back with me. Or maybe when the weather clears and I have some room ill try it.

If you could get to 11k on standard 17/42 gearing it would be 203.14 mph.
By the way, 186 on standard gearing is about 10100rpm.

Hey bob you did that on paper. Would it be that much of a jump from 10,100 to 11k and 186 to 203. If the ecm would let you and the bike had a few mods. I wonder if it would come close to it.
