Full mods to date riding impression!!!!

On my ZX 14 to date I Have Full Muzzy Exhaust, Power Com. W/Schnitz full Muzzy map, Block off plates, 16 tooth sprocket ,Aluminum fan, Engine ice. Ivan's TRE on order, not on yet.
It still has the power bog to 5000 rpm. Now when it hits 6000 RPM It literly feels like you just hit the nitrous button and it comes up in a power wheelie so hard it's like it's gonna flip you back and crush you like a bug! No shit!!! Snap the throttle in second at 7000RPM and the front rears up again and want's to rip you off the back! Snap third at 8000RPM and the front goes again! No clutching mind you. Totally a different bike from the mild mannerd smooth stock bike your used to. But for God sake would someone find a fix for matching the low RPM power to the god like power that comes on at 6000RPM.It actually makes it hard to ride when you can't transition from the bottom to the top it reminds me of the V-boost on a V-Max. THIS AINT NO FUCKING V-MAX MR.KAWASAKI LEAK OUT THE FIX FOR THIS BIKE!!! I PAID GOOD MONEY FOR THIS POWER AND I WANT IT ALL!!!

+1 ---- 1000 times.
Cum on Kawi... make it an option at least... for closed course racing no doubt!
We realize there are noise emissions you must meet.... but if the purchaser installs for closed course then the Corp. is no longer responsible.

PLEASE?

Its time to show the world what the most powerful bike really is made of!

I got a couple more power wheelies today in 5th gear... this bike's got enough power for me!

(but I'd still love to have a little "super power" switch for fun )

I realize I am in the minority here but... I really don't care about the low end "problem". When I want to go fast, I just wind it up well past 6K RPMs. If I am trolling along under 6K RPMs, clearly speed and/or acceleration is not on my mind.

Help me understand here guys. Why is power delivery under 5K RPMs such a big deal? Isn't the problem fixed with a simple downshift?

For me, I would prefer not to have to shift out of sixth on the highway to make a pass... I don't mind the lack of low end either while riding hard, but for normal cruising it is kind of a pain.

Congrats on the mods CrazyKenny, have any pics of that pipe?

for this below 5000 problem you need the t.r.e. Im sure nikko g pack will make something.. Or advance the timing in the PC3 4-5 degrees... A 61mm stroke you should have power EVERYWHERE from idle to the rev limiter

TJ at highway speeds 70-90 mph your under 5K. If I want to pass a car I want the bike to fucking move out and get the fuck down the road. It needs that power under 5K for passing on the highway. My 1270 even in 6th gear at 70 mph pulls hard enough you better have both hands on the handlebars when you roll it on....

After I installed the 16T front sprocket, I find the "under 5K" problem to be an "under 3.5K" problem. Do the sprocket. End of story.

Did the sprocket and more and it still falls flat on its face until 5000RPM. Sprocket does not fix any of it!!!!

The ECU is programmed to fall short on power delivery from idle or thereabouts, to 5k or so...how can a sprocket change the program? The laws of physics can't be changed by a sprocket, dude...all that happens is that it revs through the gears quicker, but won't change the dip or move it up or down...yes it'll be quicker with your 16t setup, but will NOT change the power or torque numbers at all.

Have any of you tried the ignition module for the usb PC? You may find its an easy fix with some timing advance. Retarding the timing helps emisions alot of times and they may have had to do this to pass the EPA guidelines.
So you guys should get one and try some timing in that range. Its worth a shot.
Be carefull thou and go slow with timing changes. If you have a loud pipe you may not hear pinging to easily.
Of course if its those throttle butterflys not opening then, well, good luck.
Can you guys disable the secondary butterflys in the open position? Then take it for a ride and see.???? I havent even seen one apart so i have no idea.

Wouldn't that push too much air through at part throttle? Also, I'm sure the fuel mix is mapped to correspond to the 2nd butterfly...you'd think.

I don't see why you could not just take the butterflys out and leave the shafts ...That way the ecu would think everything is still working and toss no codes...I guess someone will try it but not me !! I have no problem getting the jump on all the bike i have raced , so i see no need for a fix as of now ....
