New 14
Just bought my 14 today. Pick it up tonite............told them about the recall, they did some checking and said "yep, there is a recall for the tip over switch". They said it requires a check of the Torque on the bolts. I got a red one, which is my favorite one. I ordered a Pipe and Power commander from Brock Davidson, so I'll have that soon...............Will post pics later...............

Yeah, I work all the time. Had to a quick trip to LA the Sunday you guys were here. Next time Beers are on me! I've been kicked out of Valley of Fire a few times.................

No, Jay Leno was the first. I have just been posting up about the 14. All the one's that hit vegas a couple of weeks ago were spoken for and one came in last week and I went down and looked at it and saw the color and bought it...........I did post up a picture of my riding buddy, Tom who was one of the first on this board to get one, but that was not me. I am sure that's where the confusion lies............

That's the one..... I do business in Phoenix and LV when I can't get what I need in Havasu.
I am mixing up dealerships.
I bought my 99 busa from Carter. I think they thet were just a Suzi-Honda dealer at the time.
I can't remember what their name used to be.

I bought my 99 busa from them as well. It used to be Desert Honda and Suzuki. Then they went into the Kawasaki Line...........

Yeah,
I actually remember hearing about you and the other early busa guy and your 'wide open' running-somewhere?
Of course, I went back there 2-3 times for the recalls.
That was before we got a suzi dealer here in LHC

Yes, that was Scott. We did top end runs at some undentified road in an unidentified state. The statue of limitations have past but ya never know..................

We used to be able to run wide open around here at times, I don't even think about anymore.
I'll just do some real short bursts once in a while. Too many people live around here now. Everyone has a cell phone, plus all the cops know me.
I did run around the Nev outback. Hwy 50 and area 51, etc. I was on my Mille thinking "why did I leave the Busa / 12r at home?" That trip should have been about 90% big bore.

Yes the Rachel run (area 51) is a run we do all the time. Once you turn on Extraterrestrial high way you can crank it as high as you want for as long as you want. 40 miles there and back to the main highway.............if you come up this way, pm me and we will do some top end runs..............

I don't have a 14 (yet)
I'll do it on one of my 'big' bikes. I still have my 99 copper and an 05 LE, both with TREs. My 02 ZX12 has the Bonny box. They NEED to be tested.

BTW- Congrats on the 14, I take it there are none left in the LV Kawk dealers?
My dealer canceled his order for my? 14 without asking me if I actually wanted it- I guess I was not committed. I have only bought 4 bikes from him in 5 years. :-)

I love the MV. I think I'm going to get one as soon as my wife is not looking. Best looking motorcycle on the planet!!. Nice stable. Get your butt up here and let's ride. I ride to Havasu every once in a while. It's a nice ride. I also ATV up there too. Havasu is cool!

There are 3 or 4 14's up here, but they are starting out at 13,000. I said no way. Carter sold me mine for MSRP plus tax only. I'm pretty happy with the deal.

I remember cancelling my 99 busa deposit in Phoenix, Desert sold it to me at MSRP wth no BS, they were very good to deal with. Phoenix was adding the premium.
Havasu is nice, but it is not sportbike country. It is still cruiser central. That's why my dealer did not want to 'floor' a 14. Counting mine, I think the total 12r/busas is <10.
