tach accuracy

Has anyone checked tach accuracy, calculated or electronic?
My 12's, 11 and my old 10 were calculated 2-300rpm optimistic at redline, using calculated speed/rpm in gears/factory specification.
I never checked my '05 10.

My bike's at D&D right now being used to test-fit a set of slip-ons. I'll ask them to verify the tach while it's on the dyno if they have a chance.
