I caught mine right as it was falling over...the kickstands sucks, they look like golf putters. I seen better kickstands on bicycles.

LOL I guess I don't feel so bad then. This happened to me after a 200 mile ride, with nearly 700 miles on her. Got home, step dad backed my XX in, I backed my ZX in, kickstand down, kicked it agian to make sure it was seated, started to swing off the bike and over she came, right on top of me. Surpringly little damage. A nearly invisible scratch on the front mid fairing, some tiny nicks in the bar end, and a minor scratch on the mirror housing, all left side. The worst damage was a mild dent with scratches in my left side can from hitting the curb (which would not have happened if there wasn't a curb there), and a mildly bent clutch lever, probably damaged during the pick up when I was getting out from under it. I think having it fall on ME saved it from most of the damage that COULD have happened. I was SOOOO pissed, but she isn't any worse for wear and you can barely tell. As soon as I replaced the stock cans and the clutch lever, it's all good.

no cost for you except for shipping, this thing is huge, why don"t you see if you can set up with a carrier like ups or dhl this way you can pay for it. see if that is possible, i put it in box ready to be picked up. i work for auto honda dealership i am pretty sure i can find the box for it. let me know if that is possible, i will give my address to dealership . those factory mufflers are not cheap!!!

I don't know if this'll help but, I make it a habit to perform the following when I get off:

1) Key off in 1st gear ALWAYS
2) Kickstand down
3) Still clutched -- let clutch out and push bike as far forwad as it'll go in the gear
4) Let bike down gently while checking stand until she's firmly planted

NEVER let it down or get off in Neutral...NEVER let her down if the ground is angled to the right. The stand is a bit long on this bike to begin with, might consider changing it to an adjustable aftermarket stand...

Oh by the way..Shawnski, you're a champ in my books man...that was a very thoughtful gesture of you.
