Cams & wheelies

quote:
vpn if you put the gsxr cams in your bandit its a great wheelie bike too. the bandit has more torque with the 1155 motor than the old 1052 or 1127. those cams give it the power to keep it going a long ways. i have that setup on one of my 86 gsxrs with the flat slide mikunis.

Bandit is 1157 I think - will it loose the low end torque if I change the cams
I want more torque at low rpm than hyperpower at top
Hmmm. maybe I should just have a slightly slimmer acscet/spacer/whatever
beteen sylinder and it's head to get a higher compression ratio
=> will boost torque, but needs detonation prevention: european 95 => 98 gas
Naaah!
I need a better bike anywayz

I just hate to see the ZX-14 dynos where the old Busa easily beats it
between 2000 and 4000 rpm - why - Why - WHY ?!?!?!

There will eventually be a fix for this through software; that's all it really needs. The engine makes more TQ and HP at those RPMS's than the Busa does...it's just limited through software. I have felt what it can do at these RPM's and it's definitely stronger than the Busa. You can see that the TRE does help somewhat, on timing, but it also needs to get that 2nd intake butterfly opened, which can only be addressed through the ECM.

Yeah, I'd trade this red one for a nice green any day. Perhaps when I'm done painting the Bosses I'll make the 14 a proper color!
