Jezz, I finally get my new bike and the second ice age begins. For the next 7 days not a day over 70 and mostly rain. Whine, whine

Toolman,
I suspect the heat for my bike is less now than last week. I did change my oil with Kawasaki's 10W-40 dino Oil. I don't know if this is the reason for the cooler engine but I really can't wait for the Ams-oil change at 5,000 miles. How many miles do you have on your bike now? I noticed the engine is about 10 degrees cooler after 550 miles or so.

About 1100 mi running 20-50 Valvoline 4stoke moto oil. I wiil switch to full syn. at next change also adding water wetter this weekend. I am not concerned with the heat factor on me and this bike, thought you guys would want to know these bikes will hold up in 100+ temps

Keep me up to date on that water wetter change, I have a gallon of the stuff sitting on the shelf. I really think the heat is a normal break-in. BTW If you flush your system before you change out the coolant could you update us on how much garbage comes out? I've been surprised how much crap comes out but I don't know if its from the factory or over time.
Thanks Rob
