I RIDE WITH AGROUP OF GUYS THAT REALLY RIDE BIKES. WE LIGHT THE REAR UP COMING OUT OF CURVES. WE WHEELIE OVER HUMPS IN THE ROAD. WE ACTUALLY USE THE POWER THAT THESE BIKES HAVE.I DIDNT MEAN TO GET EVERYONE SO RILED UP. IF YOUR ONE THESE POSERS ON A SPORT BIKE GOOD FOR YOU. I JUST THINK YOU SHOULD BE ON A HONDA REBEL. AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN AGUY THAT CAN REALLY RIDE THAT DIDNT DO WHEELIES TO.

First of all, STOP TELLING -- caplock is RUDE and we can all "hear" you perfectly without them.

2nd of all, there are plenty of riders who can light up the rear's exiting corners without doing 1/2 mile stand up's and endo's; they eat LOUDMOUTH guys like you for breakfast.

3rd of all, you're even more arrogant now with your comments about Honda Rebels being for guys who don't wheelie. I know racers on 1100GS's that scrape the sidecases going around turns and leave the "wheelie guys" on 180 HP SS bikes with their jaws hanging down. Tell me something TH, these guys that do what you say they do -- do they all have your spelling and grammar abilities too?

Tony, I ride with a group of posers who have families and people who care about them in their lives who would be devastated if we were hurt doing something stupid and preventable. I thought that the false sense of invincibility faded with age, perhaps for some it does not. Darwinism at work? Are we Posers? Perhaps in your eyes. Are we safe riders, definately. You can enjoy a sportbike without wearing it as a hat. Riding as you say you do and argueing your ridiculous point of view only propegates the negative image we all endure. Most cagers think we are all shitheads, unfortunately you are the reason why.

Well guys, it is said by CAPLOCKS man...guess many of us here are POSERS...fuck -- my 20 yr. old daugher uses that word...LOL

Sorry i just got back from doing a third gear wheelie. trust me, if you know guys that scrape thier side cases on a 1100 gs then they do wheelies too. you are showing your ignorance about riding in general,if you think its safer to ride fast thru turns than doing wheelies. Both are dangerous on the street but i will say that none of my frinds, or myself have ever wrecked doing a wheelie (knock on wood) there has been a couple of crashes racing thru curves. Wheelies are a sign of a bikes power, but like they say if i have to explain it ,you wouldnt understand. I hear goldwings wont wheelie you might try one of those. The awesome thing about the 14 is that it comes up at about 7500 rpm and it runs along way to redline.the shift to third is real smooth and the bike is very balanced.

I HAVE SEEN SO MANY PEOPLE KILLED IN FRONT OF ME DOING HIGH SPEED WHEELIES WHICH MAKE YOU WAKE UP OF HOW DANGEROUS IT IS. RIDING A HIGH PERFORMACE BIKE OR ANY BIKES IS DANGEROUS ENOUGH WITH ALL DESRTACTION AROUND YOU. YOU JUST NEED TO THINK IF IT IS THAT IMPORTANT TO DO THOSE STUPID THINGS. ACCIDENT HAPPENS ONES AND YOU HAVE GIVEN YOURSELF A LOT MORE CHANCE BY DOING IGNORANT STAFF.
BY THE WAY I AM GOING TO GET ME A GOLDWING TOO, THANKS FOR REMIND ME.

I'm not offended, I like and do wheelies and think they're slick, but am somewhat puzzled as to your arrogance and I can assure you that despite what you know about the guys I ride with, you know nothing about them at all; you make blanket statements and come off poorly in the forums when you talk about people you don't even know. I don't get offended here by things on a board, not things like this. The guys that I know who scrape cases in turns, DON'T wheelie at all and probably can't to any great extent either, but they can outride most people I know with rice rockets who are well above average riders. To say that if you can't wheelie you shouldn't be riding a 14? Dude, that's just plain ignorant (or arrogant) I'm not sure which yet. I don't think the 2 necessarily go hand in hand just because you say so, nor do most riders here from what I can see. In Europe, this is called a ZZR1400 and marketed as a ST bike...which is what many of us here use it as too...if you want wheelies, buy a 600 or a liter bike-- low speed wheelies aren't a problem on the 10R or my R1, or even my HOG for that matter. Like a Busa, the 14 isn't the best bike for that (as you already know). They come down real hard off a wheelie and have a tendency to wobble at speeds. Anyway, I don't wish to get into a pissing contest with you...so have a safe ride.

I don't personally wheelie on the street or condone irresponsible behavior. Our fellow motorcycle enthusiasts getting killed is no joking matter.

With that said, if you have seen "so many people killed in front of [you]" on motorcycles, you really need to hang out with more mature riding buddies. I have been riding for many of years and, to date, I have only lost one friend to a motorcycle accident (not wheelie related). If you are around that many people that get killed, it may be time for a new hobby.

what can I say, I'm an 'ol squid. 40 years old and cant get enough of wheelies, been doing them since I could ride a bycycle. They are just plain fun ! but please keep them out of the daily commuters, take it to the lonely country roads.

If I may I would like to pass to you some words of wisdom that my Dad imparted to me when I was younger and thought I knew everything. Tony, I think this certainly applies to your comments in your recent posts.

"If you never open your mouth, people will never know how stupid you are".

Thanks Dad

Hey, let the people wheelie all they want, there is always a shortage of organ donors everywhere. For every rider I see that really knows how to wheelie, I see a lot more that have thrashed their bikes during the learning process. The learning curve on stoppies is a problem for many riders as well.

What the hell do I know though...................I think people that jump out of perfectly operational airplanes with parachutes are kind of nuts along with people that 'free climb'.

As long as people wheelie where they will not run into other riders/people I see no harm, problem is most riders I see that wheelie, like to have an audience.

Vintage rocket you really confuse me. you post that you have family that care about you and would be devastated if you get hurt, and then you buy a zx-14. you are either an idiot or a poser. my bet is on a poser. have you ever heard of a concours or an fj. better yet take up ballet. there is nothing about riding a zx-14 that is responsible. it is the fastest motorcle made period. Your probably one of the idiots that was complaining about gas mileage. do your family a favor and trade your 14 on a volvo you idiot

So.............................if we don't run our '14 wide open all the time and ride like idiots we are posers?

Well. I'm a poser then and proud of it! My job requires a good driving record. I lose my licence, my extremely well paying career is in jeoprody......guess that makes me a coward as well! I enjoy riding too much to get busted and be on foot for a year.

I will use what the '14 can offer, but I won't be doing stand up wheelies on busy city streets. I'll be out in the boonies, I don't need to impress anyone except myself.

If you don't have anyone that cares if you live or die, you must be a very lonely guy. I hope you don't have kids with your atitude, they deserve better.

Some people never grow up and accept adult responsibilites, you appear to be one of these people.

Tony, do us all a favour and fuckoff, yer really a dick...coming in to our house and talking shit here...yer a parking attendant here, now either be nice and behave yourself, or you'll likely be talking to yourself here from now on...no one here really wants to hear your bullshit trash talk...VR was right...you should close your mouth now, before you show your 25 IQ anymore than you already have, you dumbass jackoff. Try acting your age instead of your shoesize. Ooops...did I offend you? I sure fucking hope so.

Ohhhh... by the way dickhead...FJR's wheelie more willingly than any other bike I've owned...or maybe you never knew that...I think you pulled one too many and landed on your head (or ass, same thing in your case), because your brain (or lack of one) is getting softer with each post. Careful now...don't waste anymore of that feeble mind of yours trying to think of a rebuttle... :milk
