Uh...nope...not quite...looky here, and remember that these are low compared to what the 14 should do at 3k...ok, he's making some power, but missing much more. Now, look carefully and read the numbers at 3k on both charts...also notice his dip....still a big dip there...he is also using std and mine was sae...my numbers are under stock at 3k (pipes)...he's way, way under with the TRE...I won't buy into that. His dyno numbers are very aggressive using std...RWHP is 165 on other dyno's -- stock...he's at 173? Sorry guys...this is not worth the dough...I'll wait for something much more... I know this bike will do well over 80 lbs RWTQ at 3K in stock form...my Busa did almost that. Notice the flat TQ curve on the Busa...that's what the 14 should look like...

Good point steeve.........yeah, maybe timing retard eliminator only , not throttle valve retard eliminator !

I'm tellin ya...this fucker has way more in it's pocket than what the TRE unlocks....way more and in time, we'll all see what this means. If I rermember, someone here said that the 2nd butterfly doesn't open during normal operation UNDER 5-6K...unless it's running the warmup map. So, how can the TRE get back all that power just by timing?

Yes...indeed you did say that my friend...and BTW. my dyno numbers were down at least 7-10 Lbs at the 3K mark...because I was using Yosh RS3's, so at RPM's below 4.5k, the stock curve was a good 10% higher in RWTQ at 3K..just imagine what the 14 does when the restrictive map is removed...my guess would be around 87-90 lbs RW.

In all fairness, anything under 3250 rpm is a red herring. The start of the dyno run and the engine dynamics leave way too many variables on the table. The red line the button is pushed at 2500 rpm and how fast was the throttle rotated to wot. on the blue run it started at 2000 rpm, again how fast was the throttle rotated to wot? Personally, with the 45 minute time lapse, the heat in the engine may have caused a varied reading. The air in the dyno room could have changed..............IMho.......and 80 to 80 ft lbs between 3200 and 10800 with a peak at 101 7000 is pretty damn flat. plus anytime you pick up 7 plus horses with a plug in is not bad, peoples expectations are pretty large now adays :-)

but wtf do i know.................?

Just look at the numbers...any stock Busa makes these numbers...I've owned 2 of them...and drivin at least 70K miles on Busa's...they do these numbers easily...that's what makes them what they are..this isn't something I made up...you can see this anywhere...

"Im tellin ya...this fucker has way more than the Tree unlocks". That is what Ivan is saying too. To quote what he posted on XZ-14.net--"This bike is missing a lot of fuel and ignition advance. The tree will only unleash what is already there from Kawasaki. The bike still needs more. The Tree will give a stable ignition map so that timing will be the same in all gears. This will allow a new timing curve to be written with an ignition module with all the corrections for best performance". The man isn't making any extravigant claims beyond the Tree being one step in unlocking the ZX-14's potential.

There will eventually be a simple, one stop solution that just makes the 2nd intake butterfly open...the key is to gain access to the factory maps in the ECM...and it may be do-able through the CANbus...that's why I'll just wait and I'm not sayting he's BS, just that if I wait, something simpler and better will come along that will unleash the bike's true power. I can wait...
