adjustments and preventative maintenance

Ok guys, go buy a 6m x 1 metric tap and some antiseize if don't already have it!

Pulled the side covers off the frame ( grills) and battery access cover, and found the threads into the frame to be galling already after one removal !
yikes - stripped threads in your frames would really suck!

stainless bolts and aluminum threads will do that! electrolysis
cleaned them up with a tap and put antiseize on the bolts to allow easy acccess and no thread inserts for years to come!

removed 1/4 inch of slack out of the throttle cable , and 1/8 out on the return cable.

I have been using dry polymer waterless wash for years and found it to be great with black paint!
look ma --- no swirls!
Leaves thet freshly waxed touch, mirror like reflection and protects too!

the brand I use is "dry wash n' guard" by Enviro -Tech Canada.
there is a sister company in the USA too!
I think Amsoil makes a polymer waterless wash too!

Good stuff.
Take care of your nutz, adjust the freeplay out of the cables to get rid of the snatch/ snap in
throttle response.

Anyone else have some findings or tips?
