GPS installed

We installed a Garmin 2720 on in the 14 today...here's some shots -- little dark but quite viewable...we used a RAM mount system to install it and a threaded rod to go through the center stem on the bars...took 30 minutes to do...and looks great even when the GPS isn't mounted to the bike. Anyone interested in which parts are needed and where to get them send me a PM.

Going to run wires directly from the ignition switch so as not to interfere with the CAN bus and set codes...unit will turn on and off with the bike.

fba - What's your iPod remote control clipped/bolted/glued to? I had mine velcro-strapped to the handlebar control area on my ZZR, but haven't tried that on the '14 yet.

Is that the super-duper velcro like they sell at Radio Shack? Plastic on both sides? (no fuzzy stuff)

fastestbusaaround ,

I would to know the part number for the GPS mounting kit... I have the TOMTOM rider on my ZX-12R and would love to use it for both bikes. I also got HID's for the zx-14... I'm just waiting for the bike so I could all my after market things on. But at least I have my zx-12R that I still ride.

Here are the ones that I got for my zx-14.... I have them on my ZX-12r and they work really well. It's like I having spot beam in front of my zx-12r and it just lights the whole road up.

Low beam(H11)

High beam(H9)

ZX-14 has two size bulbs.... One is H11 for low beam, and the other is H9 for high beams. I got the 6000k ones. They have great color to them. If you get them you will know that they are so much better than Stock lights.

Stan...you have to check to see if the Rider braket will accept the 4 hole AMP style brackets in the back to do what I did...the Garmin's do, so if it does I can supply you with all the right part numbers. Check RAM's site to see what they offer for the Rider 1st...
