Finally here!

It's here, It's here..............It's finally fucking here!!

Just called my dealer and they have a Blue ZX 14 with my name on it!

YYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHOOOOO!!!

Unfortunately they are backed up a bit on setting up bikes, but it will be ready for pickup next Wednesday or Thursday. It will give me time to get some insurance shopping done.

I actually talked to a guy at Edmonton bike night last night that was riding a spanking new black '14. He raved about how much he was enjoying just like all of you that just got one.

I'm feeling pretty pumped right now.

It's been a long wait, but I'm down to a week or less now.

Did I mention I'm feeling pretty pumped right now??

Hey congrats man! That was me you met the other day at Tims... You couldn't miss me and my big silly shit eating grin.
I checked my cowl today and it has been rubbing a little so I'm going to put some of those clear rubber bumpers under it... I also noticed my boots are rubbing a little paint off the frame just above the foot peg so I put a protector that came with my tank protector kit there.

Zrexer,
I'd go down to the dealer and tell him that you will wait till that puppies ready, I did that to my dealer (just joking) but with a serious face. He had no idea of what to say.

I went insurance shopping today. Is that why I feel like the 'new guy' in prison after his first trip to the shower tonight? Considering I'm 46 with a completely clean record over the last 4 years, I'd hate to see what a younger guy with a few tickets and accidents would pay.
I'm paying $1125 for full coverage, $500 deduct on collision & 500 of fire/theft/vandalism. Could of got it quite abit cheaper without collision, but I figure for the first year or 2 I wanted full coverage.

Not very many options in Canada for sport style bikes. Primmin is a little better, but they insist on a Scorpio style alarm system. My bike is only used evenings and weekends as I drive a company car during the day. My garage is like Fort Knox and has an alarm tied into my house system, so I really don't need a bike alarm.

I phoned about 10 insurance companies, only a few would even quote the 'evil' ZX 14. Is that one of those Ninja bikes? they would ask....."Yup, it eats small children without provocation'. I felt like saying back.

We generally get screwed on insurance in Canda.

The new rule this year in Finland (insurance companies) :
power/weight ratio
Supersports will cost more in insurance than heavy custom bikes

Last years new rule was age reduction for some groups
So youngsters will pay more - those hotheads!
Also ggreat-grand-pa's will pay more

GTR-1400 will be cheaper because hard bags are in the registered weight
(ok, there is much more than just that, like shaft drive etc)
and 150hp is less than 200 hp
Perhaps it's even available in GREEN !!
