my first ride impression of zx14
i just got my blue zx14 on tuesday. put about 120 miles on it that day. i owned hayabusa and zx12 in past. like to tell you a little bit about my first impression on the ride in zx14. first of all very comfortable ride. the seat and handle bar position is great.
power from idle to 5000 rpm is flat but pull hard after that till red line and very smooth.
brakes are great.
handles very well, does not take hardly any effort to turn. i had to adjust tire pressure because the dealer had it at 45 psi!!!! i like mine set about 36psi.
there is noise from the clutch when is not in use. did not have that in busa or zx12, i wonder if that is normal.
there is more heat felt on my leg than busa almost as bad as zx12. it seems like the fan constantly running.i am in warm climate around 80 degrees on tuesday at houston.
those factory mufflers got to go!! too big. i ordered muzzy carbon fiber silp on should be here this week.easy to install, no sensor just couple of nuts.
blue looks real good on this bike.
i can wait to put more miles on it so i can push it hard.
overall i am glad i own a zx14.

no i did not. i paid 720 dollars for a set of carbon fiber muzzy slip on. is that too much. i worked in to price of bike.
