The biggest problem with this request is that there are VERY few stock busa's out there...

I don't throw minnows out when I'm hunting sharks.
I'm waiting for a dancing partner with a 14.
MUCH more capable bike in the curves than the Busa from what I've read.

It's all about the proper tool for a given job. I spanked several Busa's last week up around the Gap with my trusty 10R Granted at the drag strip the outcome may change up, BUT they were in MY HOUSE and got spanked HARD!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm smart enough NOT to go to their house ADVANTAGE to superior thinking.

Could wetake a second for a reality check here?
The only difference between a Busa and a 12/14 at the Gap or any other twisties for upwards of 80% of the riders out there is gonna be all rider.
Passin people on yer home turf would seem, well - logical.
On equally modded bikes, Ryan Schnitz would kill most Busas at the strip while he was on a 10.
Just my .02, carry on.

Ya better wait till the aftermarket catches up with the 14, cause them Boosa's are gonna eat it alive.
The Hayabusa has been out there for 8 years now and the aftermarket is huge, turbos, big bores, you name it.
There are gonna be a lot of hurt feelings in the ZX-14 camp if you go out there with a stock 14.

I agree that in every day riding, the rider will make the difference. But bottom line, with equal riders on a road course the 12 will spank the Busa hard.It handles and brakes much better. The only thing the Busa ever had on the 12 is the monster low end that the 12 couldnt quite overcome on the strip, but from the 1/4 mile on the 12 was getting its legs and would walk the Busa stock to stock

No Busa yet, but I rolled on with my crewman Tony on his 05 GSX-R1000....He has our Generation 3 exhaust, power commander and our map.
To my surprise- we were dead even....even though his bike makes more HP on the dyno and weighs about 100 lbs less?!
Looks like the aerodynamics and ram air on the 14 are working VERY well....all that torque helps also.
My 14 was stone stock with 50 miles on it when we ran.
Brock
FYI: up until now I considered the 05/06 GSX-R1000 the bike to beat on the streets. At the same power and 100 lbs lighter than the Busa....they are much quicker and faster than a Busa up until about 165 when the Busa tries to come back. I'll be back to test out our new exhaust as soon as possible! Mr 1k is going to be in big trouble!

Lol this is funny, while out riding my zx14 last night i had a few busas in my bulls eye but for some reason they didn't want to play...Maybe they just didn't want to be the first Busa kill ..I'm not worried about the busas but i'm worried about the modded Gixxers ..Guess i better get my pipe on real soon !!!

My experience with a modded (pipe/pc/gears/lightened, and probably a combined 200lb weight advantage) '05 GSXR-1000 was quite different... I got walked hard. *And* I have heard after the fact that there may have been some slightly funny gear selections going on at the time... so in retrospect, it this confirms that the entire ordeal means absolutely nothing. Since then, I've even heard rumors about that same bike getting a new head, cams, and possibly even rods/pistons, and wanting to "hunt me down" again. I doubt I'll ever be trying roll-ons with this particular bike again.
Live and learn, right?

Still no ZZR-1400 in Finland => no massive amount of cheap Busa's
I just might buy a cheap Busa 'cause I don't have the money for 14
OR
I try to get more towards 2007
and get that GREEN GTR-1400 that I really want...
