Vegas bikes...

I woud think that the Vegas bikes and the ones used by Ricky Gadson and co. were not limited by TQ in any way...only those who rode the Vegas bikes could know...if they pulled harder than a Busa below 5K, they were not TQ restricted with the stock engine mapping...perhaps someone who rode them like MM or FA could fill us in with their thoughts? Just curious...

Could this be the reason for the big delay, remapping the ECU? Just typing aloud . . .

looks like the EPA started enforcing new emissions standards this year for motorcycles. from the EPA website

"We expect these standards to be met through an increased use of technologies
already demonstrated as being effective on 4-stroke motorcycle
engines, such as secondary air injection, electronic fuel injection systems,
and catalytic converters. The standards are not expected to result
in the universal use of catalytic converters."

Maybe the remapping was to meet the new standards ? Are the EPA test done under 5k rpm ?

still have no idea we people talk about a "delay" in the bikes... as far as I can tell the bikes shipped have production dates march and onwards... this tells me they only just finished making them...

now we're back to the same BS that's been tossed around for months...

from what I've seen there's been a bunch of salesmen who made uninformed promises they couldnt keep. Our local dealer always said "april/may delivery at the earliest", and that was back in SEPTEMBER.
