"My race?" I don't recall racing, only roll-ons on a highway, and yup, you lighter guys with lighter bikes and engine exhaust mods beat my heavy bone-stock 14 with my fat butt riding it. No doubt about it. It's really not much of a contest really... I should have done the math first and not tried any roll-ons in the first place, huh? But just think, you guys can now go and brag about how your bikes are so much faster than a14. Seems fair, doesn't it? We're all just having fun, right?
You think I'd be at a disadvantage to you in the twisties? How so?

No not with me, I just figured the liter bikes would or shoud handle better, that's all, I don't know anything about that type racing.

Gotcha. I agree, and I'd love to own a liter bike simply for that reason, but I'd want something else for longer rides (Arkansas/Hill Country/etc), so I have to settle for a good "all around" bike like the 14. So far it's filling the bill perfectly . It's a little faster than my ZZR was, the brakes are a massive improvement, and it handles much better too.

All about the rider, less about the bike...have a buddy who races and on his 1100GS beats the litre guys to shit in the turns. I've seen the sparks fying off the bitton of the aluminum bags on his bike as he hits the corners...

Yeah, the next time I sit on a 14, I would like for the engine to be running.
