I simply removed the switch and filed down the little plunger a tad. That did the trick and I didn't have to use any power tools.

Zermatt and Speedgene, thanks for the information. My dealer takes the cake eh. I think they are trying to kill me, or incompetent.

I agree it is a problem and thanks guys for the instructions for a simple fix. I haven't bothered yet since I don't use one brake without the other so my rear brake turns on the light anyway. The front should have been adjustable directly from Kaw.

It seems that some of our bikes do have the issue and some don't...mine was always OK...

Well brake light is fine but then again I asembled and set it up myself!, And the bike will be fine with Syn. after a 200 miles on it.
