You got to be Kidding Me!!!!!
I just left the strip and happen to catch an exciting event. A bone stock 06 GSXR 1000 and a stock zx14 lioning up on the tree! Of course, me being a die hard kaw fan, I was talking the 14 up as if it was actually my bike. That was a mistake because that 1000 spanked the 14 not once, twice, but 3 times. I wanted to die. I wish i could have been the rider and as of now, I'm hoping it was rider error. This was a Quarter mile not the 8th.

Unless the 14 guy had a lot of saddle time on it, (my guess is no) je would have had a tough time getting the power down to the track. The gixxer is also a force to be reckoned with...don't forget. This guy was not RG...

Rest assured, the 14 dood needs some practice.
That's exactly why I don't need the latest road weapon, very few actually see the potential of the machine they own.

I'm sure more seat time will tell a different story... Untill the new zx14s owners get some track time this is going to happen A LOT !!!!! Hey what kind of numbers did the bikes run????

Dont worry about it guys, we will hear more about guys on smaller bikes lining up with the 14 and beating it...Some guys line up against new bikes, so they can win and brag how the new bike sucks 
Let them have their glory, they know in time they will be the

The 14 should be master of its domain, but i have to say that the GSXr 1000 is a fast bike, I say that with all respect cause I am also a die hard Kawasaki rider.

On the first run, the average of the 2 bikes was a 10.3. The 2nd was a 10.1 average and the 3rd was right back in the 10.3 range.

Look guys don't worry ... this is going to happen a lot....Brand new bike, brand new riders... It's going to take some seat time to get the numbers down like Ricky Gadson... We need to have thick skin for a time , we are going to have tons of guys popping in a telling us that the zx14 got beat buy a 600 honda with a flat tire ... Give it time and you will see records dropping like flys...There is some fast bikes out there with tons of mods and these riders have lots of seat time and skills just looking to drop the hammer on a zx14 newbee owner... We will get the last laugh in time ...Nightmare I feel your pain but it will be ok .... Right now we have a big red target painted on us ...

Nightmare thats not to bad ... I have seen new Busa owners that could not get out of the 11s .....

Yeah but My bestfriend own a 2006 gsxr 1000 and he wont shut up about it. It's really starting to piss me off to the point where I am willing to drive almost 1000 miles to get one, ride it bck to break it in, and tear his ass up. Sorry but kind of a sensitive subject. Hate to loose.

What are you riding?? Even a 600 can roast a liter bike outta da hole with some practice...
then, if you get a Thou with your new -found holeshots, forget about it...your the shit!!

As of right now, I'm riding a zx9r. Now that you mention it, I have killed many people out of the hole on it and they have beaten me by more than 3 bikes by the end of the race. of course we are talking about a !/4 mile and not the eighth.
