Sat on a 14 (no not a 14 size women either)
Holy crapoly!
I sat on a ZX14 for the first time. As I own 2 ZX10R's I was shocked at how HUGE & LONG that thing felt. I have not made up my mind yet to really go through with the deal yet. I just love my little 10R's!??!?!
Who switched from a 10 to a 14 and what do you feel about that now?

Fish made comments about the 10R vs 14 in his review if I recall...

Yea I have to admit the 14 is more of a touring bike compared to the 10.

It's a very long reach to the bars; it's no doubt, a longer bike than anything else in it's class, but all that makes for a firmly planted and highly stable ride. See my sig for my bikes. I'm 6'2" at 210 LBS so I have a good idea about ergo's on a bike like this. The 10R is also veryt comfortable, but not to the same extent as the 14. I do long 500 mile-a-day rides so comfort is everything for me. Have to say though, the 14 is a very comfortable bike, even more than my Busa was, despite the long reach across the tank. The only thing I notice, is that when I stand up on the pegs while riding, my heels sometimes touch the exhaust. Hopefully, this wont cause the rubber to melt off on the pipes; what a PITA to clean that..

fba - Do you really think that the reach is longer than others in it's *class*? It feels slightly more compact than my ZZ-R1200, which I believe was identical to the ZX-11, and it feels shorter then a XX (having riden them back-to-back on Sunday), and it sure LOOKS like a shorter reach than a 'busa. The only bike "in it's class" that I'm thinking might actually be shorter is the ZX-12R.

If I had the $$$ I would buy an ' 06 10 and 14, I really like the new 10
I have the 12 now, to me the difference between the 12 and 14 in seating possition is when leaned over in DragRace possition the 14 is more comfortable and the bars are a little straighter...The rest feels like a 12...
The difference between a 14 and 10 is BIG...When in DragRace possition on the 10 there is no pressure on my stomach, it's soo comfortable!!!...Being that Im 5'6" and the 10 being compact is perfect for me
Would I get rid of a 10 for a 14???...No Way!!!...I have DragRaced a 10 and compared to the 12, the 10 feels like a toy...It's soo much easier to dip the 10 on its side while doing the burnouts and again it's compact feel is a plus...The only problem with the 10 is getting used to that long 1st. gear Dragging the crap out of that clutch, but shift into 2nd gear the 10 pulls like a 12!!!
Would I buy the ' 06 10 instead of a 14, No Way!!!...There's no replacement for Displacement !!!

Me 13, but never had that issue on any of my previous bikes...it's the harsh angle they come up at on the 14; my only complaint so far, which will likely go away with a new Brock exhaust. setup later.

It is shorter than the reach to my XX with stock bars. My arms aren't as far out on the ZX as the XX. I'm 6'2.5" with a 36.5" inseam and 34 inch sleeves so I've got some reach on me.
