VERY nice tool! Now if it will fit inside the 14's toolkit it makes for a simple and elegant solution to lubing on the road . . . WELL DONE!

I always worry about cornering clearance issues with a centerstand.

Matt,
I suspect you ride like me, I would suggest getting the centerstand. Here are my reasons I'm buying mine.
1. I travel a lot and being 1000 miles from home any extra needs will cramp your already low storage situation. Pop it up on the CS and lube wipe and GO.
2. Europeans get a centerstand on theirs. Lucky devils (I think I read that anyway).
3. I want a centerstand on all my bikes period. I really don't give a dam about weight, I guess I'm a bit old school but chain's will get better care with a centerstand than without period.

Do it the way speedgene says if you're alone. If you have help, you pull the bike towards you on the sidestand thereby lifting the rear wheel and have the helper spray the INSIDE of the chain run while spinning the wheel.
How long you guys been around motorcycles, anyway?

Dougmeyer,
Here is the problem with your thinking, I run anywhere between 600-1300 miles in a day. I live at sea level and traveling lets say near the Grand Canyon elv. starts to play with my senses. Just natural and something that is easy for me at home can get me in trouble there. Sorry the risk is not worth it for me. Plus after a long day the last thing I want to do is balance a 500 lb bike on the side stand. Just an opinion.

Do you have the Scottoiler in the USA ?

I don't use one myself but it has quite a big following in the UK.

Has anyone tried DRYLUBE as an option???
Except the first use it should be easier to handle.
But I've got no experience with this.

Back it the stone age (early 1980's) a mechanic at the local Kaw shop told me he used tri-flow spray lube, just a quick shot toward the o-rings while spinning the back wheel (center-stand helpful) and he had 60,000 mi. on the original chain. He didn't do much hard riding but it was a powerful bike in its day, GPz1100. He lubed daily in wet weather but every other in dry. The nice thing was that unlike me using PJ1 Blue, he had a wheel that was easy to clean and the tri-flow didn't act like a dirt magnet. My 2¢ . . . or I suppose it is his 2¢.
