Black ZZR1400
Is it only in Japan the ZZR is availeble in black ? Here in Europe we only get it in blue and grey.

North America (N/A) and Australia does not get the grey but gets the black.
I don't see why they don't just standardize on colors and options. It would be simpler and more economical just to make one line of bikes and colors.
For instance the immobilizer system is not on N/A bikes. The ABS is only available in Europe.
The black is not in Europe but is in N/A. All markets get the blue.
N/A and Australia get the red.

I agree. This color segregation by demographic location does not make sense to me either. Wonder who made those decisions. Perhaps they just threw a dice.  :milk

They have statistical data from previous years, accurately from own models
and approximate figures about the competitors choise
Then tehy follow fashion trends and even cross-correlate car owners
finally they these psyko profiles about typical targeted customers
and their color preferences. Market area determines color choises
and even name in this case.
I'm middle-aged European and I want a touring machine with power.

I did read something about Europe possibly getting Black later on. If we all email them asking for Black it will add weight to the argument.
